Get Calamity's Edge
Overview

Calamity's Edge is an epic two-handed sword from the Warlords of Draenor expansion (patch 6.2.0). It is a massive two-handed weapon whose blade is wreathed in green fel flame, paired with a dark demonic hilt — the signature color scheme of Draenor's final raid. The model looks excellent in sets built around demonic and infernal themes.
The sword suits any class that wields two-handed swords: warriors, death knights, and paladins. The item itself drops only from the raid, so its appearance remains relatively rare among transmog collectors.
Source
The sword drops from the final boss of the Hellfire Citadel raid — Archimonde.
- The raid is located in Tanaan Jungle on Draenor, at the entrance to the Hellfire Council's lair.
- The drop chance for the sword from Archimonde is roughly 16% per kill.
- The item drops on any difficulty: Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic.
- There are no attempt limits — the raid can be re-entered every week on multiple characters.
- Since the content belongs to Warlords of Draenor, the raid is easily soloable at the current level cap.
The easiest way to get there is through the Draenor portal from your capital city, and from there to Tanaan Jungle. At the raid entrance, choose Raid Finder or Normal difficulty: on these, Archimonde drops within seconds, and the trophy chance is the same.
Who it suits visually
- It harmonizes with sets in a green-and-black fel palette — for example, with plate sets of demonic theme from the same Hellfire Citadel.
- It fits death knight and demonic warrior looks thanks to the blazing green blade.
- It contrasts with light, golden armor — a debatable pairing, but it creates a striking accent.
- It looks great in sets that play on the theme of the Burning Legion and the Fel invasion.
Tips
It is best to farm the raid on a character with high movement speed — for example, a paladin or druid — to reach Archimonde faster.
You cannot reset the difficulty to re-enter within the same week — on a single character the trophy is available once a week from each difficulty.
You can speed up the farm by running the raid in parallel on several characters: each one gives an independent chance at the drop.
Archimonde drops not only the weapon but also a rare mount — check all the loot after the kill.
If the sword takes a long time to drop, alternate difficulties: in total this gives more attempts per week on a single character.
