Get Calamity's Grasp

Calamity's Grasp is an epic one-handed fist weapon that appeared in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion alongside the Naxxramas raid. It is a compact clawed gauntlet that fits over the hand and forearm: dark metal with purple and steel-gray facets and distinctive curved blades across the knuckles. The model is rendered in a cold, undead palette that is instantly recognizable for items from the Scourge's lair.

Fist weapons occupy the main-hand or off-hand slot and are available to specializations that use this type: rogues, monks, and also shamans and survival hunters for the one-handed option. For transmog collectors, the item's value lies in its rare, aggressive "claw" shape, which fits well into dark, grim looks.

Calamity's Grasp drops from the raid's final boss — Kel'Thuzad. He is located in the far wing of the Naxxramas raid, situated above the Dragonblight in Northrend.

• Source type: drop from a raid boss.
• Drop chance — about 13% per kill, which makes the item relatively accessible over a few runs.
• Kel'Thuzad stands at the very end of the Construct Quarter, so you need to clear a path through the previous wings to reach him, or enter directly if the bosses are already dead for the week.
• The raid resets once a week, so there is only one kill attempt per game period.

How to reach the raid entrance:

Naxxramas floats above the Dragonblight; a teleport at the base of the necropolis leads inside. At max level the raid is cleared solo, so farming transmog here is a relaxed affair.

• Harmonizes with dark Scourge sets and looks in cold purple-steel tones.
• Fits well into assassin rogue and melee monk concepts thanks to its compact clawed shape.
• Pairs with armor dominated by metal and bone — icy, necromantic, and "death knight" looks.
• Contrasts with light cloth and leather sets, so it works less well for bright, righteous looks.
