Kaldorei Nightsaber

Kaldorei Nightsaber is an epic ground mount for Alliance players, added in patch 8.1 of the Battle for Azeroth expansion. It is a large purple nightsaber with white fur and the distinctive glowing harness of the night elves.

The item itself drops from the rare NPC Croz Bloodrage in the Darkshore zone, when the Alliance controls the "Battle for Darkshore" warfront. The drop rate is roughly 5%, and you can kill the rare only once per warfront cycle on each character, so the main resource for farming is alts.

• Unique night elf model — a snow-white nightsaber with purple accents and a glowing harness using a skin unavailable on ordinary nightsabers. Together with the Umber Nightsaber, it is considered one of the most beautiful cat mounts in the game
• Alliance exclusivity at the moment of acquisition — the item drops only while the Alliance actively controls the Darkshore zone, making it a kind of badge of faction allegiance
• Full-speed ground mount — movement speed is inherited from your character's riding skill: +60% or +100% to speed
• Account-wide after learning — it is added to the shared collection and becomes available to all characters, including the Horde, once learned
• Farming through alts — a single character usually isn't enough for the 5% chance, but on every Alliance alt you can kill Croz again, which significantly speeds up the acquisition

The introductory warfront quest chain is short and is completed in Boralus. After finishing it, access to the scenario opens up and the zone display changes to the updated version of Darkshore — this is the phase in which Croz Bloodrage is found.

The warfront does not run on the standard weekly reset, but on its own cycle. The total duration of a single cycle is about three weeks, after which control passes to the opposing faction.

You can kill Croz only during the Alliance patrol phase. If the Horde owns the zone, the NPC does not appear or cannot be attacked. A reliable indicator is the daily quests in Darkshore: when they are active for the Alliance, the NPCs are alive too.

Since Darkshore alternates with Arathi (the "Battle for Arathi Basin" warfront), the window of opportunity for each faction comes around once a month. Miss it, and you'll have to wait for the next cycle.

1. Complete the introductory Battle for Azeroth story chain and gain access to Boralus
2. In Boralus, at the dock, find the warfront table and pick up the quest Warfront: Battle for Darkshore
3. Complete the short scenario and finish the quest chain — after this the Darkshore zone will start showing the updated version following the Fourth War
4. Wait for the Alliance patrol phase. You can check this at the warfront table or on the world map — during the active phase, daily quest icons appear on the map
5. Fly through the Alliance portal or use the warfront table to get straight into the zone /way Darkshore 50.6 32.4 Croz Bloodrage. The location is the area south of Bashal'Aran on a hill near the Maw of the Void.

Croz is a rare enemy from the Horde faction, an orc berserker. At max level (90) in the current Midnight expansion, he goes down in a few hits and poses no danger even to poorly geared characters. After the NPC dies, loot drops from his corpse — check it for the Captured Kaldorei Nightsaber

1. Confirm that the Alliance controls Darkshore — head to Boralus to the warfront table or check the daily quest icons on the map
2. Complete the introductory Warfront: Battle for Darkshore chain if you haven't done so already
3. Travel to Darkshore via the Alliance portal or the warfront table
4. Fly to the point 50.6, 32.4 — Croz patrols a small area near the Maw of the Void
5. Kill Croz Bloodrage and check the loot
6. If the mount didn't drop, switch to an Alliance alt and repeat
7. At the end of the cycle, wait for the next Alliance patrol (about 3 weeks) and come back

Since you can kill Croz only once per warfront cycle on each character, the main multiplier of your chances is the number of ready Alliance alts that have completed the introductory chain.

• Complete Warfront: Battle for Darkshore on all your Alliance characters in advance
• Keep all your alts in Darkshore or Boralus — this way you can quickly run through them all once the patrol phase begins
• Use a fast class (a travel-form druid, paladin, or shaman with Ghost Wolf) for maximum route-clearing speed
• On average, with a 5% chance and 10 alts per cycle you get about a 40% chance per month — statistically the mount most often drops within 2–4 cycles

If you only play Horde, this mount via Croz is unavailable to you — instead, farm the mirror Kaldorei Nightsaber from the rare Shadowclaw during the same period when the Horde controls Darkshore.
