Overview

Cerulean Sporeglider

Game iconCerulean Sporeglider is a flying mount from the Midnight expansion, added in patch 12.0.1. Sporegliders are a new type of creature inhabiting the underground ecosystem of Harandar. They resemble dragonhawks in appearance, but with a fungal, bioluminescent aesthetic: glowing wings and spore growths make this mount one of the most beautiful in Midnight.

In-game description: "This sporeglider loves to gently nuzzle its riders."

Why You Want This Mount

The Cerulean Sporeglider is one of two mounts available for Hara'ti faction renown in Harandar. Reasons to get it:

  • A unique fungal model unlike anything from previous expansions
  • A full flying mount with speed up to +310% in the air
  • Complemented by the battle pet Cerulean Sporebat, which visually matches the mount
  • One of the renown progression reward mounts rather than a random drop — you are guaranteed to obtain it once you meet the requirements

Purchase Requirements

Requirement Value
Character level 10+
Riding skill Apprentice (ground), Expert (flight)
Faction Hara'ti
Renown level 19 (of 20)
Currency 8,000 Voidlight Marl
Vendor Naynar

Hara'ti renown is account-wide, so you can level it up on any character.

How to Reach Harandar

Harandar is an underground zone in the Midnight expansion. You can get there as follows:

  1. Complete the Eternal Song starting campaign in Midnight
  2. At the Sanctum of Light in Silvermoon, open the Midnight Scouting Map and select Harandar
  3. Accept the quest Root of the Problem — it opens a portal to Harandar
  4. The portal is located in the village of Brightwood Grove
/way #15969 45.3 47.3 Portal to Harandar (Brightwood Grove)

After completing the Harandar story chain, the portal relocates to Silvermoon itself, which is more convenient for daily visits.

/way Silvermoon 36.9 68.2 Permanent portal to Harandar

Where to Find the Vendor Naynar

Naynar is the quartermaster of the Hara'ti faction. He is located in the northern part of the upper level of the Den in Harandar, near a tent by the river.

/way #15355 51.0 50.8 Naynar — Hara'ti Quartermaster

In addition to the Cerulean Sporeglider, Naynar also sells other renown rewards, including the ground mount Game iconBrilliant Petalwing at renown level 17.

How to Earn Hara'ti Renown

The maximum renown level is 20. You need level 19 to purchase the mount. Main sources of renown:

  • Story and side quests in Harandar — the initial boost during your first run through the zone
  • World quests — appear in Harandar on a rotating basis and grant direct reputation
  • Special assignments — weekly tasks with increased rewards
  • "Legends of Haranir" event — a world event in the zone
  • Rare mobs — a one-time reward for the first kill of each rare mob
  • Bountiful caches in dungeons — rewards for completing Delves
  • Weekly dungeon assignments
  • Contract: Hara'ti — while active, every completed world quest grants +15 bonus reputation

If you complete all available activities every week, reaching renown level 19 will take approximately 4-5 weeks.

How to Farm Voidlight Marl

Voidlight Marl is the main currency of the Midnight expansion. It is earned across all zones: Eternal Song, Zul'Aman, Harandar, and the Stormvoid. The currency is account-wide.

You need 8,000 units to purchase the mount. Main ways to earn it:

Source Approximate yield
World quests 50-100 per quest
Quarry hunting up to 150 per 5-7 minutes
Dungeons converting Delver's Coins via the Diver's Pouch
Renown rewards (ranks 4, 13, 18) 500 units each
War Mode bonus to rewards from world quests

The Fastest Method — Trap Hunting

The most efficient farming method (around 2,000 Voidlight Marl per hour):

  1. Open the world map and find a "Quarry Hunting" world quest in any Midnight zone
  2. Complete the world quest — this unlocks access to traps along the quarry route
  3. After completing the quest, start clicking on the traps (glowing red crystals) that appear along the quarry's path
  4. Repeat the cycle: set a trap, turn in the result, move on to a new one

"Chase" type world quests are the most profitable — the traps there are arranged linearly along the route, without chaotic flying around the zone.

Other Sporegliders

In addition to the Cerulean Sporeglider, one more mount of this family is available in Midnight:

Mount Source
Game iconCerulean Sporeglider Naynar, 8,000 Voidlight Marl, renown 19
Game iconRuddy Sporeglider "Unusual Cauldron" treasure, Harandar

Tips and Recommendations

  • Activate the Hara'ti contract before any content in Midnight — bonus reputation adds up quickly
  • Don't forget about renown rewards — at ranks 4, 13, and 18 you receive 500 Voidlight Marl each just for ranking up, granting 1,500 units for free
  • Enable War Mode if you are comfortable playing on a PvP server — the currency bonus from world quests noticeably speeds up farming
  • Dungeons are a reliable alternative if you don't enjoy the open world. Convert Delver's Coins into Voidlight Marl via the Diver's Pouch
  • Farm on multiple characters — although the currency is account-wide, world quests can be completed on different characters to speed things up
