Get Charonic Crescent
Overview

"Charonic Crescent" is a two-handed polearm from the Midnight expansion. It is a glaive with a broad, curved crescent-shaped blade, styled in the aesthetic of the Void: the dark metal of the haft pairs with the cold, otherworldly glow of the edge.
The appearance references the overseer Charonus — master of a gladiatorial arena who abducts fighters from every corner of Azeroth for his games. The sickle-like shape of the blade makes the model stand out among other polearms and looks great in swing animations.
This is a fresh item from the current Midnight season, so it is sought after not only for its appearance but also as a combat weapon at item level 289. For transmog, what matters is that the appearance unlocks when you obtain any version of the item.
Source
"Charonic Crescent" drops from the final boss Charonus in the Voidscar Arena dungeon — a Midnight dungeon for a group of five players.
- The boss is located in the final part of the dungeon, on the arena itself.
- The dungeon is available in several difficulty levels; on Heroic, the bosses award a higher item level.
- This is group content from the current season: clearing it requires a full group with a tank, a healer, and damage dealers.
- The weapon drops in the shared loot with a chance, like the rest of the boss's spoils, so several runs may be needed.
To gain access, it is enough to level your character to the maximum level of 90 and unlock the Midnight dungeons through the group finder system, or assemble a party manually. No separate quest chains or reputation are required specifically to enter the dungeon.
You can enter an unlimited number of times: the dungeon resets, so you are allowed to farm the boss for the appearance as many times as you like.
Who It Suits Visually
- It harmonizes with sets in dark and purple-blue tones, especially with Void-motif armor.
- It complements the looks of warriors and demon hunters, where the curved, predatory shape of the weapon matters.
- It contrasts with light plate armor, creating a striking dark accent on the weapon.
- It suits concepts of gladiators and arena fighters in the spirit of the overseer Charonus himself.
Tips
Farm the boss on Heroic difficulty — the item level is higher there, and the appearance unlocks from any version.
It is most convenient to run with a steady group: a fixed roster clears the dungeon faster on repeat runs.
If the appearance does not drop, re-enter the dungeon — there is no limit on the number of attempts.
Bring melee fighters along: for them, the "Charonic Crescent" is immediately useful both as a combat weapon and as transmog.
Watch the boss's mechanics with unstable singularities and gravity spheres — on higher difficulties they quickly kill anyone who hesitates.
In a single run you also have a chance at the boss's other loot, so farming the appearance simultaneously boosts your gear level.
