Get Chillworn's Infusion Staff

Chillworn's Infusion Staff is a two-handed staff from the Dragonflight expansion, obtained in the Ruby Life Pools dungeon on the Waking Shores. It is an intellect weapon: it is worn by every caster specialization that uses staves — mages, priests, warlocks, druids, shamans, monks and evokers.

The model belongs to the family of icy staves from Dragonflight dungeons: the head is encased in a translucent crystal of biting frost, while frosty veins run along the shaft. The cold blue-and-white palette directly references the element of the dungeon's mistress, who infused the drake eggs with primal frost energy. In terms of stats, the staff has long been obsolete in the current Midnight expansion, so today players seek it purely for the appearance.

The staff drops from Melidrussa Chillworn — the first boss of the Ruby Life Pools dungeon. She is a leader of the primalists who spearheaded the infusion of the eggs with frost and believes she is cleansing them of Order magic.

• The staff drops only from the first boss; the other bosses do not drop the appearance.
• The dungeon is available on Normal, Heroic, Mythic and Mythic+ difficulties; the appearance model is identical at every level.
• The drop chance from a specific boss with a 4-item loot table is small, so several runs may be needed.
• You can farm it on different characters in a single day: there is no lockout for repeating Normal and Heroic difficulty.

The content belongs to Dragonflight — an outdated expansion, so the dungeon is cleared solo at max level with no trouble. The boss has no mechanics that block soloing and is killed within seconds.
