Chosen Tauralus

Chosen Tauralus is a rare ground mount that debuted in the Shadowlands expansion (patch 9.0). It is a massive battle bull with long, curved horns, serving the armies of Maldraxxus and the House of the Chosen — one of the five great houses of the Necrolord realm. Unlike its armored counterpart, the base version of the mount rides without armor and shows off the powerful build of the animal itself.

The mount is awarded for the The Gang's All Here achievement — for stitching together all 16 abominations at the Abomination Factory of the Necrolord covenant in Maldraxxus. Historically the mount was tied to the Necrolord covenant, but with the release of The War Within (patch 11.0) it became available to a character's entire warband, provided one of the heroes has reached Necrolord renown level 80.

• Collector's rarity — only players who once completed the full Necrolord covenant cycle and pushed the Abomination Factory to its highest tier can obtain this tauralus. It is now one of the most prestigious mounts of the Shadowlands era
• Unique model — the massive bone bull of the House of the Chosen exists in only two variants in the game (regular and armored). The base model shows the animal's texture and scars without armor covering it
• Maximum ground speed — the mount gains a +60% or +100% movement speed bonus depending on your riding skill
• Available to the entire warband — once unlocked, the mount appears in the collection of every character on your account. Combined with Necrolord renown level 80, the covenant restriction is lifted
• Achievement and title included — besides the mount itself, you receive the The Gang's All Here achievement and a personalized reaction from Ta'lan — one of the leaders of the Abomination Factory

Step 1. Unlock the Necrolord campaign

1. Travel to Oribos — the central hub of Shadowlands
2. Complete the introductory Shadowlands story chain and choose the Necrolord covenant
3. Finish the base Necrolord campaign and advance your renown level — it is what unlocks the late-game Sanctum features

Step 2. Upgrade the Sanctum and unlock the Abomination Factory

The Abomination Factory is a unique feature of the Necrolord Sanctum, located in Seat of the Primus.

1. Upgrade the Sanctum using Reservoir Anima and Redeemed Souls
2. Invest resources into the "Abomination Factory" feature to unlock the building
3. Pick up the introductory quests from Ta'lan and Emeni — they will teach you the Stitch Abomination skill and grant you your first abomination, Cordy

Step 3. Start stitching abominations

Each abomination is assembled from three groups of body parts that drop from mobs and raid bosses of Maldraxxus and from completing the covenant's daily tasks.

1. Gather the abomination recipe — the parchment is awarded from daily quests, drops from Maldraxxus mobs, or can be bought from other players
2. Collect the required body parts — arms, legs, torsos, heads and organs of specific types (sharp, ugly, sturdy, rotting and so on)
3. Return to the stitching table at the Abomination Factory and assemble the abomination. After that it appears in your list of abomination companions and adds credit toward the achievement

Step 4. Collect all 16 abominations for the achievement

After stitching the last abomination, the The Gang's All Here achievement completes automatically, and a letter from Ta'lan arrives in your mailbox with the Chosen Tauralus attached.

The Stitchmasters are the faction responsible for running the Abomination Factory. Reaching exalted with them unlocks most of the late abomination recipes and speeds up completing the achievement.

Main reputation sources:

• Daily quests from Ta'lan and Emeni at the Abomination Factory
• Special weekly assignments of the Necrolord covenant
• Stitching new abominations — each abomination grants a one-time reputation boost
• The vendor Stitchflixer and other Factory NPCs sell consumables and recipes for reputation

The standard daily reputation bonus from drinks and banners applies. If you came to the content late, you can keep grinding reputation without limits — it is not capped by a weekly rate.

Body parts are the main "currency" for stitching. Each abomination's recipe lists the specific types of parts you need to obtain.

1. Clear Maldraxxus mobs in any zone — parts drop from standard kills
2. Complete weekly quests on rare enemies and world bosses of Maldraxxus — they guarantee rare types of parts
3. Maldraxxus chests and Rune-Carved Chests of the House of the Chosen grant bonus parts when opened
4. Some parts can be bought on the auction house — most of them are not bound to the character
