Claws of Ursoc — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Claws of Ursoc is the Guardian Druid artifact fist weapon, added to World of Warcraft in the Legion expansion. What makes this artifact special is that it changes not the weapon in your hands, but the bear form model itself: the artifact's appearance swaps the skin of the combat bear rather than the blades on your belt.
That is exactly why Claws of Ursoc is prized by appearance collectors: each skin family grants a separate Guardian "hide" with its own silhouette and glow. The look is a nod to Ursoc, the ancient demigod bear whose name the artifact carries.
Source
The artifact itself is handed to the Druid through the class campaign in Legion — after choosing the Guardian specialization, you receive the Claws of Ursoc at the start of the story line.
- The artifact changes the bear form model, so the skins are only visible while in Guardian form.
- The base appearance and its four colors unlock as you progress through the Legion class campaign.
- Additional colors of the base skin are awarded for key campaign milestones — the return of the Pillars of Creation and the development of the class hall.
- All appearances are gathered into the artifact collection and can be freely switched once unlocked.
Who It Suits Visually
- The appearance sets the combat bear model rather than a weapon, and it is visible at all times while you are in Guardian form.
- The "Grove Guardian" is a spectral emerald bear with a glow, perfect for nature-themed and druidic looks.
- The base and upgraded skins are massive brown and dark bears for a classic, "wild" presentation.
- The combat appearance with a tattered hide and scars suits brutal, warlike looks.
Tips
Remember that the Claws of Ursoc change the bear form — the appearance does not show on the regular character model.
The hidden "Grove Guardian" is farmed from Ursoc once a week on each difficulty, and the chance is low, so it will take many runs.
The Emerald Nightmare has long been soloable at the current level, so you can farm the token on your own.
The challenge appearance unlocks at any time — there is no need to wait for a separate seasonal event.
Each skin family has four colors: check all the options in the artifact appearance window.
The skins are only available in the Guardian specialization — Druids of other specializations do not see the bear appearances.
