Overview

Ласка выводка

Game iconClutchmates' Caress is a one-handed mace from the Midnight expansion. Its head is styled around the dragon theme of Season 1: a massive head with faceted inlays on a short haft, finished in the dark crimson and gold tones of the red dragonflight. The name references the "clutchmates" — dragons hatched from the same clutch, the very dragons that drop this weapon.

The mace belongs to the epic (raid) tier of Midnight Season 1, requires level 90 and carries Agility stats, making it suitable for melee classes. As a transmog it is prized for its compact yet striking head silhouette.

Source

Clutchmates' Caress drops in the raid The Voidspire — the flagship raid of Midnight Season 1 and the stronghold of Xal'atath.

  • The mace drops from the Vaelgor encounter — the fourth boss of the raid, a paired fight against two red dragonflight dragons.
  • Available encounter difficulties: Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic. Higher difficulties have a wider loot table, so the chance for a specific weapon is greater.
  • Loot is awarded when the boss is killed in a raid group; personal loot is tied to the weekly lockout.
  • Confirming a Heroic clear is helped by the achievement Vaelgor & Ezzorak (Heroic Voidspire).

This is a current raid, so the fight requires a full group — it cannot be soloed at this point in the season.

Who It Suits Visually

  • Harmonizes with looks in a crimson-and-gold palette — the head echoes the colors of the red dragonflight and the Midnight Season 1 sets.
  • Looks great with heavy plate sets: the short haft and large head balance out bulky armor.
  • Pairs well with dragon- and fire-themed looks — for example, sets inspired by Kel'Danas and the red dragons.
  • Thanks to its compact silhouette it is equally fitting in the main hand or off hand, without overloading the look.

Tips

1

Take on the boss on Heroic or Mythic difficulty — the mace has a higher drop chance there.

2

The fight against Vaelgor and Ezzorak is a paired encounter with aerial and ground phases: assign targets in advance so you don't drag out the clear.

3

Loot from the boss can be obtained once per week per character — bring alts if you want to speed up collecting the look.

4

The mace carries Agility, so it is most natural to farm it on a melee character who is already raiding anyway.

5

The season's paired glaive also drops from this same fight — if you are farming the look, it makes sense to collect both items at once.

6

If the raid is hard to assemble, start with Raid Finder as the most accessible way in for the look, even though the drop chance is lower.
