Coldflame Cormaera

Coldflame Cormaera is a flying mount from the cormaera family, available for Trader's Tender at the Trading Post. This elemental predator blends the traits of a chimaera and an elemental creature — cold blue flame coils around its body, creating a striking contrast of fire and ice. The mount was added in patch 11.1.5 and first appeared in the Trading Post rotation in June 2025.

According to its mount journal entry: "During the war of the elemental lords, the cormaera served as beasts of burden for the Firelord's high-ranking lieutenants."

Step 1 — Save up Trader's Tender

Trader's Tender is a special currency for purchases at the Trading Post. You can earn up to 1000 Trader's Tender per month in two ways:

1. Collector's Chest — 500 tender is automatically granted at the start of each month with an active subscription. Claim it from the chest at the Trading Post.
2. Traveler's Log — complete the monthly activities from the log (opened through the Adventure Guide, Shift+J) and earn up to another 500 tender.

Trader's Tender does not expire — unspent tender carries over from month to month. If you're short on tender this month, simply wait for the next one.

Step 2 — Wait for the mount to appear in the rotation

The goods at the Trading Post refresh on the first day of each month. The Coldflame Cormaera appeared in the rotation in June 2025 for 700 Trader's Tender. At the moment the mount is on pause, but it periodically returns to the rotation.

Keep an eye on rotation announcements on the official Blizzard site — the new month's lineup is usually revealed a few days before the refresh.

Step 3 — Visit the Trading Post

When the mount appears in the rotation, head to one of the Trading Posts:

Stormwind (Alliance) — the stall of Tony and Wilder, southwest of the main gate, by the entrance to the Stockade:

Orgrimmar (Horde) — Zen'shiri's stall, to the left of Grommash Hold:

Dornogal — the Trading Post in the Forward district on the Isle of Dorn:

Step 4 — Buy and activate the mount

Find the Coldflame Cormaera in the stall's assortment, buy it for 700 Trader's Tender and use the item. The mount is added to your collection permanently and will be available to all characters on your account.

If the mount has appeared in the rotation but you're short on Trader's Tender, use the freeze. Click on the item at the Trading Post and choose the freeze option — the item will remain available to you in the following months until you buy it or replace the frozen item with another one.

You can freeze one item at a time. This lets you calmly save up the amount you need without worrying that the mount will disappear from the rotation.
