Coral Tidestallion

Coral Tidestallion is an epic aquatic ray mount purchased from the Trading Post with Trader's Tender. It is a large sea ray with smooth, curving "wings" and a vivid coral-orange coloring that looks borrowed straight from the reef. The item's flavor text plays up that theme: "This breed of ray has adapted to hunting among the bright corals of warm seas."

The mount belongs to the family of rideable rays — the same line as the fishing-obtained Great Sea Ray. What sets the coral version apart from its relatives is its warm pink-orange coloring, and the ray itself glides underwater with soft, wave-like beats of its fins. This is an aquatic mount: it is built for swimming and boosts your underwater movement speed.

Unlike many good-looking aquatic mounts that demand long reputation grinds or elaborate trade chains, the Coral Tidestallion is bought directly with in-game currency. The main challenge is catching it during the Trading Post's monthly rotation.

• Vivid coloring. The coral-orange ray stands out sharply against the more familiar blue and gray aquatic mounts and looks great in warm coastal zones.
• Guaranteed acquisition. The mount is bought at a fixed price in Trader's Tender — no randomness, no drop chance, and no long vendor trade chains.
• Underwater speed. As an aquatic mount, the ray increases your swim speed. In zones with large submerged sections, that noticeably saves time.
• Account-wide. Once purchased, the mount unlocks for every character on the account regardless of faction or class.

The Coral Tidestallion is sold at the Trading Post for 900 Trader's Tender whenever it rotates into a given month's stock. The rotation refreshes on the first of every month, so it may not be on sale right now — you need to wait for a month in which it returns.

1. Open the Trading Post. The chest kiosk is located at the Trading Post representatives in the capitals: for the Alliance, in Stormwind; for the Horde, in Orgrimmar.
2. Check the current month's stock. If the Coral Tidestallion is on the list, move on to the purchase. If not, the mount will return in one of the future rotations.
3. Save up 900 Trader's Tender (exactly how is covered in the section below).
4. Buy the mount from the Trading Post representative. The item immediately adds the Coral Tidestallion to your collection.

The Trading Post is a system of monthly cosmetic rewards for in-game activity. Each month the stock is fully refreshed: some items leave, others appear. The currency is Trader's Tender, and it is spent only inside the Post.

Where to Find It

• Alliance: Stormwind — the Trading Post kiosk in the central part of the city.
• Horde: Orgrimmar — the Trading Post kiosk near the commerce district.

Both kiosks are marked with the corresponding icon on the capital's map.

How to Earn Trader's Tender

Every month you receive 500 Trader's Tender just for claiming it from the chest at the Post. The rest of the Tender is earned through the monthly Traveler's Log:

1. Open the Traveler's Log in the Trading Post interface.
2. Complete the tasks on the list. They span a wide range of activities: winning battles, clearing dungeons, joining events, completing world quests, and the like.
3. Completed tasks fill the progress bar and pay out Trader's Tender, while filling it completely grants the month's bonus cosmetic reward.

Over a month it is realistic to earn considerably more than a single mount costs, so the 900 Tender for the Coral Tidestallion comes together easily with active play.

Rotation, Freezing, and Carryover

• The stock changes on the first of every month. Some items return over time.
• One item from the current rotation can be "frozen" — dragged into a separate slot so it stays available the following month too. That is a lifesaver if you are still short on Tender.
• Unspent Tender carries over to the next month and accumulates. That said, it is important to claim your monthly 500 Tender from the chest on time: any left unclaimed from the chest by the end of the month is lost.
