Corridor Creeper

Corridor Creeper is an epic ground mount added to World of Warcraft in the Shadowlands expansion (patch 9.0.2). It is a dark armored hound from the shadowhound family, the Jailer's watchdog, prowling the corridors of Torghast in search of souls.

The mount is awarded for earning Twisting Corridors: Layer 8 — the final tier of the Torghast Tower trial mode. Unlike most of Azeroth's mounts, the Corridor Creeper can be ridden in The Maw, making it a unique means of transport for farming and exploring that zone.

• The only mount for The Maw — regular mounts are locked in The Maw until you reach a high reputation level with Ve'nari. The Corridor Creeper, however, works there from your very first summon and lets you ride around the zone immediately after obtaining it
• A grim, unique model — a dark armored hound with smoldering eyes. It is one of three mounts that share the same model, but the Corridor Creeper is the one with the Jailer's canonical gray-purple coloring
• A prestigious trial reward — the Twisting Corridors: Layer 8 achievement was originally considered one of the hardest challenges in Shadowlands. Today it is well within reach for a solo level 90 Midnight player
• Account-wide — once obtained, the mount unlocks for every character on your account, regardless of faction and class
• Tied to the Shadowlands story — the mount is a literal trophy, taken from the Jailer's hounds in their own tower. A perfect conclusion to the Shadowlands story for lore lovers

The route is fixed: you must unlock Torghast and the Twisting Corridors mode through Bolvar's quest chain, after which you clear the Twisting Corridors on Layer 8 difficulty.

1. Complete the introductory part of the Shadowlands campaign — arriving in Oribos and your first foray into The Maw
2. Choose a covenant and finish the main Shadowlands storyline. After that, Bolvar Fordragon in Oribos hands out a chain of six weekly "Into Torghast!" quests that unveil the tower
3. Afterward, Bolvar offers the key quest On the Lion's Trail — this is the one that opens access to the Twisting Corridors.
4. If you have already completed the Shadowlands campaign on this account, access to Torghast and the Twisting Corridors is granted automatically — there is no need to repeat the chain
5. Enter Torghast through Ve'nari's Refuge in The Maw or directly from Oribos once the portals are open
6. In the wing selection menu choose Twisting Corridors, set the level to 8 and start the run
7. Clear all 18 floors (three wings of six floors each, three final bosses) and earn the Twisting Corridors: Layer 8 achievement — the Corridor Creeper will appear in your collection as soon as you open the chest

In 2026, with leveling up to level 90 Midnight, the Twisting Corridors are far easier to clear than they were at the launch of Shadowlands. Even so, a few preparatory steps will save you hours.

1. Make sure your character has the Torghast and Twisting Corridors unlock active
2. If you have not done the Shadowlands story, note that Bolvar's quest chain is spread over 6–7 weeks, and skipped stages cannot be caught up early
3. Gather gear of at least item level 250 — that is enough at character level 90 to comfortably clear all 18 floors solo
4. Bring healthstones, stamina food and mana potions with you
5. Pick a specialization with strong solo potential: Blood Death Knight, Beast Mastery Hunter, Guardian Druid, Demonology Warlock

How to reach Torghast

Torghast is located in The Maw, a zone from the Shadowlands expansion. You can get there through Ve'nari's Refuge — teleport to Oribos, then take the portal to The Maw and use the outer entrance to Torghast. This is convenient if you have built up reputation with Ve'nari

Solo-clearing Layer 8 in 2026

With Shadowlands scaling up to level 90 Midnight, a single run of Twisting Corridors Layer 8 takes 40–90 minutes, depending on your class and your luck with anima powers.

1. Pick a wing with strong, safe anima powers (Jailer's Gauntlet, Adamant Vaults) — they provide steady scaling of damage and survivability
2. On every floor collect all anima powers, do not save time. From floor 15 onward the final boss's strength multiplies many times over, and without anima gear you will stall
3. The final bosses on floors 6, 12 and 18 are random bosses from the Torghast pool. Learn the tactics in advance
4. If you get stuck, do not throw away your progress: try switching specialization and re-enter. The fail timer gives you plenty of time

Working in a group

The Twisting Corridors support groups of up to 5 players. A group run:

• Speeds the run up to 30–45 minutes thanks to clearing enemies in parallel
• Lets you bring a healer and two tanks for a calm takedown of the floor 18 bosses
• Rewards remain individual — each participant earns their own achievement and mount

Collecting all rewards at once

Since the rewards for floors 2, 4, 6 and 8 do not require separate runs, one clean Layer 8 clear automatically closes all four achievements. Accordingly, you receive the pet, the toy, the title and the mount in a single run, provided you had not closed floors 2, 4 and 6 earlier.
