Corrupted Dreadwing

The Corrupted Dreadwing is an epic ground and flying mount added in patch 6.2.0, "Fury of Hellfire." It is a fel-corrupted dreadraven, twisted by the demonic energy of the Tanaan Jungle. The mount is purchased from Dawn-Seeker Krisek in the Tanaan Jungle for 150,000 Apexis Crystals at Friendly reputation with the Order of the Awakened.

The Corrupted Dreadwing is a large bird of prey with dark green plumage and glowing green flickers of fel. It belongs to the dreadraven family native to Draenor, but stands out from its kin with its aggressive temperament and demonic aura. As the item's description states: "These fearsome ravens, bathed in the blood of demons, are far more aggressive than usual. In captivity they must be kept separate, or they will kill one another."

• Guaranteed acquisition — the mount is bought from a vendor at a fixed price in Apexis Crystals. No random drops: save up the currency and the mount is yours.
• Low reputation threshold — only Friendly reputation with the Order of the Awakened is required, which is just 3,000 reputation points from Neutral. This is one of the fastest reputation thresholds in the game.
• Unique model — the Corrupted Dreadwing boasts a striking dark green coloration with fel elements, standing out among other mounts of the dreadraven family.
• Ground and flying — the mount works both on the ground and in the air. Movement speed depends on your riding skill.
• Available to all characters — once purchased, the mount becomes available to all characters on your account.
• Minimal level requirements — to use the mount, level 10 and the Apprentice Riding skill are sufficient.

To purchase the mount, you must meet two conditions: reach Friendly reputation with the Order of the Awakened and accumulate 150,000 Apexis Crystals.

1. Unlock the Tanaan Jungle by building a Level 1 Shipyard in your garrison (a Level 2 or Level 3 garrison is required).
2. Complete the introductory quest chain that leads you to your faction's base: Lion's Watch (Alliance) or Vol'mar (Horde).
3. Pick up the starter quest "Unknowable Power" from Dawn-Seeker Krisek — it grants a one-time 1,500 reputation points.
4. Complete the daily quest "Unseen Influence" to earn the remaining reputation (1,500 points per completion).
5. In parallel, save up Apexis Crystals through daily quests and bonus objectives in the Tanaan Jungle.
6. Upon reaching Friendly and having 150,000 crystals, return to Dawn-Seeker Krisek and purchase the Reins of the Corrupted Dreadwing.

The Tanaan Jungle is a max-level zone of the Warlords of Draenor expansion on the alternate Draenor. To gain access to the zone and your faction's base, you must complete several steps.

First Visit

1. Travel to Draenor. From Stormwind (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde), use the portal to the Blasted Lands, and from there the Dark Portal. You can also use the portal to your Garrison from the portal room of your capital.
2. Make sure your garrison is Level 2 or Level 3. Pick up the quest to build the Shipyard at the garrison town hall.
3. Complete the Shipyard construction quest chain, which concludes by unlocking the Tanaan Jungle.
4. Complete the introductory quests, which establish your faction's base — Lion's Watch or Vol'mar.

Quick Access (after unlocking)

Once the introductory chain is complete, a flight path appears at your faction's base in the Tanaan Jungle. You can reach it in the following ways:

• Use a flight path from any location in Draenor.
• Teleport to your garrison via the hearthstone, then fly to Tanaan.
• Use the portal to your garrison from your capital's portal room, and from there to Tanaan.

Vendor Coordinates

To purchase the mount, Friendly reputation is required, that is, only 3,000 reputation points from the starting Neutral. This is one of the lowest thresholds among reputation mounts.

Starter Quest (one-time)

The quest "Unknowable Power" — collect 1 corrupted apexis fragment. Reward: 1,500 reputation points. This quest is completed once and immediately grants half of the required reputation.

Daily Quest

The quest "Unseen Influence" — collect 10 corrupted apexis fragments. Reward: 1,500 reputation points. Fragments are obtained from rare enemies and treasure chests in the Tanaan Jungle.

Thus, to reach Friendly you will need to:

1. Complete the starter quest "Unknowable Power" (+1,500 reputation)
2. Complete the daily quest "Unseen Influence" once (+1,500 reputation)

Total: 3,000 points — Friendly reputation reached in two days.

Additional Source

The Medallion of the Legion — a rare item dropped by the four world bosses of the Tanaan Jungle. It grants 1,000 reputation points with all Draenor factions. If you are lucky enough to get the medallion on the very first day, Friendly reputation will be reached instantly.

The main challenge in obtaining the mount is accumulating 150,000 Apexis Crystals. At max level, all of the Tanaan Jungle content is completed very quickly.

Main Sources of Crystals

• Daily quests in Tanaan — each quest yields from 800 to 1,500 crystals. Several quests are available per day.
• Bonus objectives — the Tanaan Jungle has areas with bonus objectives, each of which yields Apexis Crystals.
• Rare enemies — killing rare mobs in Tanaan rewards crystals.
• Garrison missions — the daily garrison mission can give crystals as a reward.
• Garrison work orders — purchased from a vendor in the garrison, each unlocks a quest for 800 crystals.
• Mage Tower / Spirit Lodge — a garrison building whose work orders yield about 900 crystals daily.

Optimal Daily Plan

1. Pick up all available daily quests at your faction's base in Tanaan.
2. Complete the bonus objectives in the zones indicated in the daily quests.
3. Kill the available rare enemies along the way.
4. Collect apexis fragments for the Order of the Awakened quest.
5. Check and dispatch missions in your garrison.

How Long It Will Take

With active farming, you can earn from 10,000 to 20,000 crystals per day. Thus, accumulating 150,000 crystals will take approximately 8–15 days. At max level, all quests and rare mobs are destroyed instantly, which significantly speeds up the process.
