Its flavor text is terse and sinister: "The Highlord of the Scarlet Crusade's Blade." The weapon is tightly bound to the lore of the Scarlet Crusade and the story of the paladin Scarlet Highlord Mograine. Thanks to its dramatic model and iconic status, this sword has remained a coveted prize for transmog collectors for decades.

The main thing to know: in the retail version of the game, Corrupted Ashbringer can no longer be obtained. It is a legendary item of original content whose source has been removed.
