Crowd Pummeler 2 30 Mount Guide

Game iconCrowd Pummeler 2-30 is a mechanical mount from The War Within expansion, crafted through Khaz Algar Engineering. It's a massive golden dwarven battle suit: when you use it, your character climbs inside the mecha-suit. One of the most expensive mounts in the game — a full set of materials from the vendor costs roughly 3,100,000 gold.

The mount supports Skyriding, is account-bound, and can be sold at the auction house. The flavor text promises the suit is "guaranteed to knock the teeth out of your enemies in a single blow."

Why you want this mount

  • Status symbol. One of the most expensive and eye-catching mounts of the expansion — clear proof of your wealth and the effort you've put in.
  • Unusual model. A dwarven battle mecha-suit with a small number of color variants.
  • Skyriding. The mount fully supports fast, accelerating flight.
  • Available via the auction house. If you don't have Engineering, you can buy the finished mount from other players.
  • Account-bound. Once obtained, the mount is unlocked for all of your characters.

Requirements

  • A max-level character.
  • Riding skill learned.
  • Khaz Algar Engineering at a high skill level — if you want to craft it yourself.
  • The learned Game iconCrowd Pummeler 2-30 recipe, which is unlocked through the invention system.
  • Around 3,100,000 gold if you buy all the materials from the vendor — or significantly less if you gather them yourself.

How to get the recipe

The recipe can't be looted, bought from a vendor, or earned from a quest. It is unlocked only through the Khaz Algar Engineering invention system.

  1. Gather Game iconPile of Rusty Scrap — the base material of the invention system, obtained through Engineer abilities and by scrapping junk.
  2. Use the invention ability to turn the scrap into prototypes. It has a daily cooldown, so the process stretches out over several days.
  3. Break the prototypes down into Game iconHastily Scrawled Notes — you'll need 15 of them.
  4. Combine 15 notes into Game iconReasonably Organized Ideas.
  5. Using the ideas offers you one of three random recipes for your specialization. The Crowd Pummeler 2-30 recipe may be among them — if not, repeat the process until it appears.

Crafting materials

All materials are sold by the vendor Paxton Boomboxer in the Ringing Deeps.

Material Quantity Price per unit Total cost
Game iconBolt Bounty 1000 100g 100,000g
Game iconWhirligig Kit 200 2,500g 500,000g
Game iconHeadlight Fluid 80 5,000g 400,000g
Game iconCatastrophic Converter 50 12,000g 600,000g
Game iconImpact-Resistant Armor 20 25,000g 500,000g
Game iconDemolition Permit 1 1,000,000g 1,000,000g
Total 3,100,000g

Alternative way to gather materials

You don't have to spend over three million gold at the vendor — some of the materials can be gathered yourself:

  1. Invest your Khaz Algar Engineering knowledge points into the invention branch, unlocking the part-gathering nodes.
  2. Use Engineer abilities to extract materials from junk.
  3. The materials aren't bound, so you can also buy them at the auction house — often cheaper than from the vendor.

Tips

1

Check the auction house. The materials aren't bound, and other players often list them cheaper than the vendor charges, especially on realms with plenty of engineers.

2

Start farming the recipe early. Because of the invention's daily cooldown, the whole path to the recipe you need can take several weeks.

3

Don't get discouraged by failed attempts. The choice of three random recipes means Crowd Pummeler 2-30 may not appear right away — just keep making inv_misc_toy_06Reasonably Organized Ideas.

4

Consider buying the finished mount. Without Engineering, it's easier to buy inv_dwarvenmechboss_goldCrowd Pummeler 2-30 at the auction house; the price depends on your realm.

5

Combine methods. Buy cheap materials like spell_mekkatorque_bot_yellowboltBolt Bounty from the vendor, and try to gather the expensive ones — inv_10_engineering_manufacturedparts_reavesbattery_frostImpact-Resistant Armor and inv_misc_ticket_tarot_madnessDemolition Permit — yourself or find them cheaper at the auction house.

6

Bring in engineer alts. Every character with Engineering gathers materials separately, so your stockpile grows faster.
