Overview

Клинок рыцаря Пепельного двора

Game iconCrusader's Blade of the Ember Court is a two-handed sword appearance from the Shadowlands expansion. Technically it is not a weapon with stats but a separate illusion: when used, the item adds the sword's appearance to your account's transmog collection, after which it can be applied to any suitable two-handed weapon.

The model is styled after the venthyr of Revendreth — dark metal with red accents and gothic, slightly ornate blade shapes. It is one of the reward weapon appearances of the Ember Court, and it is visually built for looks in a blood-red and black palette.

Source

The appearance is sold for reputation and currency; it has no separate drop.

  • Vendor — Freeman, the blacksmith of the Ember Court.
  • Location — Revendreth, near the Spire of the Unseen Guests: /way Revendreth 32.0 41.2.
  • To unlock the sale of weapon appearances, you must reach the "Exalted" reputation level with the Ember Court.
  • Once you reach the required reputation, the quest Undercover Security becomes available — completing it unlocks the sale of weapon appearances from Freeman.
  • The price of the appearance is 1,750 units of Reservoir Anima.
  • Ember Court reputation is earned through the weekly Ember Court event in the venthyr covenant, so the grind stretches across several weeks.

Who It Suits Visually

  • It fits looks in a red-and-black palette — especially sets in the venthyr and Revendreth style.
  • It pairs well with plate armor of a dark gothic look that has red or crimson accents.
  • It looks great on "dark knight" or blood paladin characters thanks to the heavy silhouette of the blade.
  • It contrasts with light and holy armor — a debatable combination, but one that creates a strong visual accent.

Tips

1

Ember Court reputation is easiest to build by running the weekly event at a high level and inviting the right guests.

2

Stockpile Reservoir Anima in advance: 1,750 units for a single appearance is a noticeable sum, and Freeman has other appearances you will surely want too.

3

Don't forget to complete the quest "Undercover Security" — without it, weapon appearances won't appear at the vendor.

4

The appearance is bound to your account's collection, so after purchase it is available to all characters on your account on that server.

5

If you've been playing as a venthyr for a long time, check your reputation: you may already have the required level, leaving only the purchase of the appearance.

6

It only makes sense to buy the appearance itself — there is no need to wear or keep the item after using it, as the illusion stays in your collection forever.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
