Crystalfire Spellstaff — Transmog Set Guide

The Crystalfire Spellstaff is a two-handed staff added to World of Warcraft in the Warlords of Draenor expansion (patch 6.0.2). It is a craftable weapon for intellect-based characters: priests, mages, warlocks, druids, shamans, and monks.

The item is of rare quality and was part of the Draenor profession gear set. Today it is valued purely as an appearance: it is easy to craft through the Inscription profession, which makes the staff one of the most accessible blue staves for transmogrification.

The Crystalfire Spellstaff is crafted with the Inscription profession and does not drop from mobs.

• Profession — Inscription, requiring the Draenor Inscription skill.
• Recipe — Technique: Crystalfire Spellstaff, sold by Inscription vendors in your garrison and in the capitals of Draenor.
• Main reagent — War Paints in large quantities, which are also created through Inscription from Draenor pigments.
• Additional reagent — Simple Wood, a basic material from starting vendors.
• The finished item becomes soulbound when equipped, so craft it on the character who needs the appearance, or gather the materials on a scribe and transfer them before binding.

Since War Paints are made from Draenor inks and pigments, the easiest approach is to build a Scribe's Quarters in your Draenor garrison and stockpile pigments by milling herbs. If you do not have the Inscription profession yourself, a finished staff occasionally shows up on the auction house.
