Get Dalaran Defender's Spire

Dalaran Defender's Spire is a two-handed staff added to World of Warcraft alongside the pre-launch event for The War Within. It is a tall, magical, spiked staff with a purple crystalline finial, kept in Dalaran's signature arcane palette. The staff's model echoes the architecture of the floating mage city, so it fits naturally in the hands of any caster — be it a mage, warlock, priest, or druid.

The staff grants intellect, stamina, haste, and mastery, but in the current patch its combat stats no longer matter. Today the item is valuable purely as a transmog piece — a recognizable "Dalaran" silhouette that is hard to replicate with other staves.

The Dalaran Defender's Spire was handed out during the Radiant Echoes in-game event — the pre-launch event that preceded the release of The War Within. The event ran from July 30 to August 26, 2024, and has not been repeated since.

The staff could be obtained in two ways:

• Buy it from the vendor Remembrancer Amuul in Dalaran for Residual Memories — the event's local currency. Vendor coordinates: /way Dalaran 35.2 82.8, the lower tier of the city's central tower.
• Loot it from the Token of the Remembrancers container, which dropped for taking part in event activities.

Residual Memories were earned during the event itself: for killing normal and elite enemies, for the main wave boss, and for daily quests in the active zones. The event cycled between three locations — Dustwallow Marsh, Searing Gorge, and Dragonblight — and the rewards were sold by several identical vendors across those zones and in Dalaran.

It is important to understand that the event was time-limited and ended in August 2024. As of the current patch, neither Residual Memories, nor the tokens, nor the event vendors are available, so you cannot add this staff to your transmog collection right now. Only those who took part in the pre-launch event were able to acquire it. Whether it will ever return depends on Blizzard's decision to re-run the event.
