Dawnbreaker is a massive two-handed sword added to World of Warcraft with patch 8.1.0 of the Battle for Azeroth expansion. The blade is steeped in a bright "dawn" aesthetic: a wide gold-and-white blade, a warm glow along the edge, and a carved guard bearing the symbolism of the Light. It is a strength weapon, so warriors, death knights and paladins are the ones who add its appearances to their collection.
The sword is obtained in the Battle of Dazar'alor raid and fits perfectly into the looks of champions of the Light — from paladin sets to gilded plate ensembles.

The appearance drops from the first boss of the Battle of Dazar'alor raid. The fight is mirrored: the factions battle different characters.
- For the Horde, the first boss is represented by Frida Ironbellows.
- For the Alliance, the same role is filled by Ra'wani Kanae.
- Difficulties: Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic; the appearance is identical on all of them.
- The drop chance is low — about 2% — so you may need several runs.
- Loot is weekly: you can loot the boss on each difficulty once per week.
Who It Suits Visually
- It completes the looks of champions of the Light: the golden blade echoes paladin and priest sets.
- It fits well into white-and-gold and cream-colored ensembles thanks to the blade's warm glow.
- It looks striking on death knights, adding a bright accent to a grim look.

Tips
The appearance is collected by warriors, paladins and death knights — only they wield two-handed swords and add them to their collection.
Because of the roughly 2% chance, plan for several weeks of farming or clear the boss on multiple difficulties at once.
The raid can now be soloed at current level, so you can go for the appearance without a group.
Take whichever difficulty you clear faster: the sword's appearance is the same on all of them.
The first boss also drops other weapon and armor appearances — check all the loot, not just the sword.
If you play on both factions, you can farm in parallel: the mirrored fight grants one appearance for both the Horde and the Alliance.
