Overview

Колун из Рассветной кузни

Game iconDawnforged Splitter is a rare-quality one-handed axe added in the Midnight expansion. It is a short chopping weapon with a massive head and a warm golden-steel finish, styled in keeping with the overall "dawnforged" blacksmithing line of this expansion. The model looks rough and functional: a broad blade, a short handle, and minimal decoration — a craftsman's axe rather than a ceremonial relic.

The item requires level 90 and binds when equipped. In terms of stats it has long since stopped being relevant for combat, so it is primarily of interest as a transmog appearance: a solid, versatile one-handed axe silhouette that fits easily into "working" and soldierly looks.

Source

Dawnforged Splitter is a product of the Blacksmithing profession in the Midnight expansion. It is a basic, early-tier recipe: it is learned directly from the blacksmithing trainer and does not require any investment of specialization points.

  • Profession: Blacksmithing (Midnight variant).
  • The recipe unlocks from the trainer as your skill grows, with no separate specialization required.
  • Crafting it requires Midnight basic-tier bars and reagents, as well as an anvil and a blacksmith hammer.
  • The finished item binds to the character when equipped, so it is more convenient to assemble the look on the blacksmith yourself or to order the crafting through a work order.

If you do not have the profession yourself, the easiest option is to arrange it with a blacksmith through the work order system: they only need basic reagents, and after you equip it the appearance is added to your transmogrification collection.

Who It Suits Visually

  • It suits "working" and soldierly sets in a warm steel palette — without gilding or magical effects.
  • It harmonizes with leather and mail sets in earthy and bronze tones.
  • It pairs well with the rest of the weapon line from the dawnforge if you want a matching set (for example, an axe and a dagger).
  • It contrasts with bright, glowing artifacts — against them it looks deliberately down-to-earth, which can be a plus for a mercenary or craftsman look.

Tips

1

This is a basic Midnight-tier recipe, so it is available almost immediately after taking up Blacksmithing — you do not need to level a specialization.

2

If no character of yours has Blacksmithing, place a work order: the reagents are basic and inexpensive.

3

The item binds when equipped, so to unlock the appearance you have to actually equip it, not just receive it.

4

After collecting the look, the item itself can be sold to a vendor or disenchanted — the appearance stays in your collection forever.

5

Collect the entire dawnforge line in one go: the recipes are adjacent, the reagents are shared, and you will quickly unlock several weapon appearances at once.

6

On a fresh blacksmith, crafting these items also grants profession skill points along the way.
