Get Deep Hunter's Repeater
Overview

Deep Hunter's Repeater is a ranged crossbow from the Midnight expansion. The weapon is built around the natural, forest-themed aesthetic of the Harandar zone: a dark wooden stock, curved branch-like bow arms, and a warm greenish-gold finish that echoes the lightglow of the local flora. The silhouette is compact and predatory, which suits the look of a ranger or a forest hunter well.
This is a full-fledged item-level 237 piece of gear: the crossbow grants Agility and Stamina, along with Critical Strike and Mastery rating, and is suited to hunters. It requires level 90. While appearance is what matters most in a transmog guide, unlike purely cosmetic items this crossbow can also be used as a combat weapon during the Midnight dungeon progression phase.
Source
The crossbow is part of the loot table of the The Blinding Vale dungeon — one of the first-season Midnight dungeons, located in the Harandar zone.
- The dungeon entrance is in the southwest of Harandar, roughly at the coordinates 27, 78.
- The dungeon has four boss encounters, and the appearance drops from its bosses as loot.
- The difficulties available at the start of the season are Normal, Heroic, and Mythic; Mythic+ for this dungeon will open later.
- Item level 237 corresponds to one of the early gear tiers, so the appearance is convenient to obtain during the dungeon-progression phase.
- The drop is not guaranteed in a single run — repeat the clear on the desired difficulty as needed.
Since the source is a regular seasonal dungeon, farming is not tied to weekly locks: you can run it as many times as you need for the appearance you want to drop.
Who It Suits Visually
- It matches armor sets in Harandar's natural green-and-gold palette — the weapon mirrors the zone's overall color scheme.
- It harmonizes with leather and mail sets in brown-green tones — the classic look of a ranger or a forest hunter.
- It looks great in nature- and lightglow-themed druid and hunter outfits.
- It contrasts with dark "shadow" sets — a debatable but striking combination for those who enjoy playing on contrast.
Tips
The appearance is added to your collection the moment you obtain the item, so you only need to win the crossbow once — there is no need to farm it again on other characters.
Level your character to 90: Midnight dungeons, including The Blinding Vale, are designed for max level.
For reliable farming it is easier to run Heroic or Mythic difficulty — the chance for gear of the right level is higher there, and the bosses still go down quickly with a prepared group.
The dungeon has no weekly lockout on loot, so you can re-enter back to back until the appearance drops.
For hunters, the crossbow also comes in handy as a real weapon at the start of dungeon progression, not just as a transmog.
Along with the crossbow, other items from the set drop from The Blinding Vale's bosses — it pays to farm the dungeon comprehensively to collect several appearances at once.
