Overview

Рапира братства Справедливости

Game iconDefias Rapier is a one-handed sword from the earliest days of World of Warcraft, tied to the content of the Alliance's first dungeon. It is a slender blade with a narrow guard and the light silhouette of a fencing rapier, free of any flashy ornamentation: plain steel, a straight edge, and a neat pommel. The model looks understated and reads clearly as a "rogue's weapon" — exactly the kind wielded by the Defias Brotherhood fighters who seized the old mine beneath Westfall.

For the modern player, this is a pure transmog item: its stats have long been irrelevant, and its value lies solely in its rare and recognizable model. The sword suits classes able to wield one-handed swords and fits perfectly into the looks of light warriors, cutthroats, and fencers.

Source

The sword drops from Defias Watchmen — ordinary enemies inside The Deadmines dungeon. The dungeon is located in Westfall, along the southwestern coast of the zone.

  • The drop chance from a single watchman is about 6-7%, so a few runs are usually enough.
  • These enemies appear in packs throughout the dungeon, so there is no need to wait for a specific boss to farm.
  • The item becomes soulbound on equip, so it can only be obtained by the character who actually needs the transmog.
  • There is no limit on the number of attempts: the dungeon can be reset as many times as you like.

The easiest way in is directly: the dungeon entrance is located by the ship in the southwestern part of Westfall. At any modern level, the dungeon can be cleared solo without difficulty.

Who It Suits Visually

  • Rogue and assassin looks in dark leather armor — the rapier supports the Defias Brotherhood theme and the pirate-bandit aesthetic of Westfall.
  • Light warriors and nimble fencers who want a slender blade without bulky ornamentation.
  • Sets in a muted gray-steel palette: the rapier's neutral metal pairs with leather and cloth in almost any calm color.
  • Paired with the Game iconCruel Barb from the same dungeon, it looks like a matching weapon set from a single gang.

Tips

1

Farm on any class that wields one-handed swords — at max level, the watchmen die in one or two hits.

2

Take a class with fast movement (a druid or monk, for example) to run through the dungeon corridors even faster between resets.

3

Don't wait for a specific boss: Defias Watchmen are scattered throughout the dungeon, so knock the sword loose along the way.

4

If the sword doesn't drop after a couple of runs, just leave the dungeon and re-enter — there are no internal reset restrictions.

5

While you're at it, try to grab the inv_sword_24Cruel Barb from Helix Gearbreaker — you'll close out two transmogs in a single run.

6

The sword is obtained separately for each character, so farm it for whoever genuinely wants this appearance.
