Devastation's Hour is an epic two-handed sword from the Battle for Azeroth expansion. The blade is styled after the expansion's final raid: dark jagged metal, glowing purple-and-teal veins of the Old God, and organic growths reminiscent of N'Zoth's flesh. It is one of the most recognizable "corrupted" weapons of the Ny'alotha theme.
The sword uses Strength as its primary stat, so it suits Warriors, Death Knights, and Paladins first and foremost. For transmogrification this is not a silhouette restriction but merely an indication of armor class — the look of a two-handed sword fits anyone who has access to this weapon type. Its dark, tentacled aesthetic makes the blade a coveted trophy for outfits built around the theme of the Old Gods and corruption.

Devastation's Hour drops from the final boss of the Ny'alotha, the Waking City raid — the last raid of Battle for Azeroth (patch 8.3). It is dropped by N'Zoth the Corruptor himself, who concludes the run through the dungeon's twelve bosses.

Today Ny'alotha is outdated content that can be cleared solo with ease. The mechanics of N'Zoth that blocked solo completion were removed in patch 10.2.7, and the requirement to have the "Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve" cloak equipped to finish off the boss is no longer in effect.

- It pairs well with the corrupted raid sets of Ny'alotha itself, which share the same palette.
- It suits Death Knights and dark "cultist" concepts thanks to its grim, organic silhouette.

Tips
Enter the raid at max level — the solo clear goes faster, and N'Zoth's mechanics no longer block solo completion.
Use the weekly lockout wisely: additional characters grant more drop attempts per week.
On the same boss on Mythic difficulty, the 
Ny'alotha Allseer mount drops at roughly a 1% chance — so it makes sense to farm specifically the Mythic version for two goals at once.
You no longer need to equip the "Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve" cloak before finishing off N'Zoth — there is no need to level it up separately.
The appearance is registered in your collection the first time you obtain the sword, so a single drop is enough — extras can be disenchanted or sold.
For quick solo farming, classes with good mobility and steady self-healing are convenient, able to run through the raid without downtime between bosses.
