Overview

Раздиратель драконьей чешуи

Game iconDragonscale Ripper is a rare one-handed fist weapon that arrived in World of Warcraft with the Dragonflight expansion. It is a claw worn over the hand, with curved blades and a dark metallic finish in the style of the Djaradin — an ancient race of giants who inhabit the Dragon Isles.

The model is rendered in a muted, dark palette with warm bronze-and-red accents that echo a theme of fire and obsidian. The blades are broad and serrated, which is where the name comes from — the weapon looks built to tear through dragon scales.

For transmog collectors, it is a great pick for a fist weapon with a wild, predatory silhouette: it suits rogues, monks, and shamans who use this weapon type, and it fits looks tied to dragon hunting.

Source

The Dragonscale Ripper drops from the first boss — Chargath, Bane of Scales — in the Neltharus dungeon. This is a Dragonflight dungeon located beneath the Obsidian Citadel.

  • Chargath, Bane of Scales is a Djaradin giant, a hunter of winged beasts; his arena is at the start of the dungeon, roughly at /way 43.1 66.5.
  • The drop chance for this appearance from the boss is low — around 3% — so farming it may take several runs.
  • The item becomes soulbound when acquired, so it must be looted by the character who needs the appearance.
  • The appearance is credited as soon as you obtain the item: getting the weapon just once is enough for it to be added to your account's appearance collection.
  • The boss is available on any dungeon difficulty, including Normal and Heroic, as well as Mythic and Mythic+.

The dungeon belongs to a previous content cycle, so it clears quickly and easily. For repeated farming, choose Normal difficulty — it can be re-run without limits, letting you kill the first boss over and over.

Visual Pairings

  • It fits dragon-hunter looks and Djaradin-themed warrior outfits from the Dragonflight era.
  • It harmonizes with armor in dark, obsidian, and bronze tones with fiery accents.
  • It looks great paired with heavy leather or mail armor of a wild appearance.
  • It contrasts with bright, cold sets — against them, the dark claw looks especially predatory.

Tips

1

Farm the appearance solo on Normal difficulty: the dungeon is long outdated in power and clears in a few minutes on any class.

2

Because of the low chance (around 3%), be patient — it may take many runs before it drops.

3

You can re-enter the dungeon without limits, so kill only the first boss and leave to save time.

4

Mobile classes with high clear speed, such as a demon hunter or paladin, are ideal for fast farming.

5

While you are there, check the rest of the loot in Neltharus — it also drops other themed weapons and armor for your appearance collection.

6

Remember that only the appearance matters for transmogrification: once obtained, the look can be applied to any fist weapon for your character's level.
