Driftwood Club — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Driftwood Club is an uncommon-quality one-handed mace whose appearance is a crude wooden cudgel. In essence it is a thick, roughly hewn plank washed up by the sea and repurposed as a weapon, with no metal parts or decorations. The silhouette is simple and down-to-earth — something a fisherman or settler might fight with, rather than a seasoned warrior.
The appearance suits classes that can wield one-handed maces: warriors, paladins, shamans, rogues, druids, monks, and priests. The item's combat stats have long been irrelevant, but for transmogrification it is a handy "wooden" base that is hard to assemble from later weapons — modern maces are almost always metallic or glowing.
The item has existed in the game since the days of the original World of Warcraft and belongs to the low-level farmable weapons.
Source
The Driftwood Club is a so-called random world drop from a specific type of enemy, so farming comes down to clearing the right mobs.
- The source is the Murloc Warrior, a common enemy from the murloc tribe.
- The main farming spot is Westfall, where Murloc Warriors dwell along the western coast of the zone.
- The drop chance is low — around 0.16%, so prepare for a lengthy grind.
- There is no limit on the number of attempts: murlocs respawn quickly and can be killed without any restrictions.
- Any Murloc Warriors with this name will do, but they are most densely settled precisely along the coast of Westfall.
An approximate starting point for farming by the water:
At the current max level, the enemies pose no threat, so everything comes down to the drop chance and how quickly you clear the camps.
Who It Suits Visually
- Looks great in commoner, fisherman, or savage outfits — without metal armor.
- Pairs well with leather and cloth armor in earthy, swampy, and sandy tones.
- Suits themed "primitive" sets where the weapon should look handmade.
- Contrasts with plate armor and enchanted weapons — against them it looks pointedly poor, which is sometimes played up on purpose.
Tips
Set aside plenty of time for farming: with a chance of around 0.16%, the appearance may not drop over hundreds of kills.
Farm where the Murloc Warriors stand in dense camps — that way you kill more targets per unit of time.
Bring a class with area damage: murloc camps are convenient to mow down in whole groups.
Don't skip the respawn — murlocs reappear quickly, so there is no need to wander far between pulls.
Make sure you are hitting Murloc Warriors specifically: other murlocs from the same camps do not drop this appearance.
Once obtained, the appearance is saved in your collection forever and becomes available to all characters on the account.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
