TBC Classic Restoration Druid Guide (Phase 3)
About the Class
Restoration Druid is a ranged leather-wearing healer. Uses staves or a one-handed weapon together with an off-hand item. Healing is built around periodic effects, and most of them are applied instantly, so a druid barely loses any healing while moving. It also brings
Innervate to the raid for mana return and
Rebirth for battle resurrection.
Strengths
- Free movement: almost all healing is instant, so you lose no efficiency while moving.
- Strong single-target healing and multi-tank healing thanks to rolling stacks of
Lifebloom. - Useful raid and party buffs, especially if no one else in the party can provide an improved
Mark of the Wild.
Weaknesses
- No full-fledged area healing other than
Tranquility. - Weaker utility than more in-demand classes, or it duplicates their abilities.
- Weak burst healing when relying on periodic effects, and abandoning them quickly drains mana.

Best Professions
Tailoring
The main choice for PvE. It grants the Primal Mooncloth set with a large bonus to healing power and Spirit, as well as the Whitemend Wisdom set bonus. Plus cloth cooldowns that bring in gold throughout the expansion.
Leatherworking
An alternative if you don't want to change your tailoring specialization. The Windhawk Armor set suits both a healer and a DPS. It's also the source of
Drums of Battle — an important consumable available only to leatherworkers.
Enchanting
Grants exclusive ring enchants that work throughout all of TBC and noticeably boost healing.
Engineering
Plenty of explosives for area damage, including the
Super Sapper Charge.
Alchemy
Passive income through transmutes and new specializations for elixirs, potions, and transmutation. Suitable for a character for whom maximum healing is not a priority.
