Dusklight Razorwing

Dusklight Razorwing is a flying mount from the razorwing family, added to World of Warcraft in the Shadowlands expansion alongside Patch 9.1 "Chains of Domination." It is a large violet-purple bird of prey with distinctive curved wings and a long tail, dwelling in Korthia — a long-lost part of the Shadowlands that the Jailer wrenched into the Maw.

It is you who brings the Dusklight Matriarch to the player: the mount is handed over by the Dusklight Matriarch at the razorwing nest on the western edge of Windswept Cliff, after you return ten Lost Razorwing Eggs to the nest. The eggs drop from the devourers of Korthia with a strict daily cap, so the whole process stretches out over at least five to ten days.

• A rare coloration of the razorwing family — the model is used for several mounts (Soaring Razorwing, Garnet Razorwing, Fierce Razorwing), but the violet-twilight hue of the Dusklight is considered one of the most visually striking
• A guaranteed result with no in-bag randomness — unlike mounts that drop at 1–2% from chests, here you earn the mount by accumulating 10 eggs. The outcome depends only on how many runs you make
• A reason to return to Korthia — the zone remains accessible at Midnight max level and contains several mini-achievements, reputations (Death's Advance, The Archivists' Codex) and recipes that you can close out in parallel
• It is account-bound — earning it on one character unlocks the mount for all heroes on your account, of any faction and class
• Part of a collection achievement series — the mount is tracked in the overall collection of razorwings and Korthia nesters, which is useful for achievement hunters

The sequence of actions is simple, but it takes several in-game days because of the daily egg cap.

1. Unlock Korthia through the Patch 9.1 "Chains of Domination" campaign. If you have a main hero who has completed the campaign, alts can use the Oribos skip to drop straight into the zone
2. Fly to Windswept Cliff in western Korthia. The razorwing nest is at coordinates 25.7, 51.1
3. Hunt the devourers at the Maw of the Maw and the Sanctuary of Heading until a Lost Razorwing Egg drops
4. Return to the nest and interact with it. The first egg you place will summon a razorwing nest defender that you must kill — after that the enemy no longer appears
5. Repeat daily until you have brought a total of 10 eggs. The eggs can be placed in the nest one at a time or all at once
6. As soon as you place the tenth egg, the Dusklight Matriarch descends from the sky and hands over the Dusklight Razorwing

The nest of the Dusklight Matriarch is an interactive object on the western edge of Windswept Cliff. It is the only nest in the area you can interact with, so it is hard to mistake it for the decorative ones.

1. Fly west from Keeper's Respite toward the cliffs of Windswept Cliff
2. Stop at coordinates 25.7, 51.1 at the very edge of the precipice. Below you should be a stone nest with glowing eggs
3. Hovering over the nest brings up the "Razorwing Nest" tooltip
4. Use it and choose one of the Lost Razorwing Eggs you are carrying to return
5. After the first egg is placed, a razorwing nest defender leaps out of the neighboring nest — a level 60 elite with a small health pool. Kill it so it does not get in the way of your next runs

The eggs drop only from devourers — giant worm-like creatures that feed on anima. Choose zones with a high density of these creatures.

Best locations

• Maw of the Maw — the most popular farming spot. Here you will find the voracious absorber, the colossal world-eater and the voracious scavenger
• Sanctuary of Heading — home to the fused devourer, the mindsnatch controller and the nimble scavenger. Convenient when the Maw is crowded with competitors

Daily cap rules

• A single character drops no more than 2 eggs per day. The cap resets at the in-game daily reset (08:00 GMT in Europe)
• The first egg of the day drops faster, the second takes a little longer. If nothing drops after 10–15 minutes of farming, try switching locations or come back for the egg tomorrow
• The smallest swarm mobs (the tiniest mites) do not give eggs — kill the larger ones
• The eggs bind to the character on pickup and cannot be passed to alts

Weekly plan

1. Drop into Korthia once a day, when you hand in the weekly quest Shaping Fate or do an assault
2. Spend 10–15 minutes on devourers until 1–2 eggs drop
3. Carry the eggs to the nest on the same run so you do not forget
4. Repeat for 5–10 days, depending on luck — no great effort is required
