Malavita
Malavita first discovered World of Warcraft in Draenor, but truly got into the game with the Shadowlands expansion. Has a soft spot for Demon Hunters and Mages. Considers her main goal to be collecting as many mounts as possible.

Earthen Scallywag's Kris is an epic one-handed dagger added to World of Warcraft in patch 11.0.7 of The War Within alongside the Siren Isle zone. It is a short stabbing weapon with a wavy blade in the spirit of a true kris, rendered in a stony, earthy palette: a grey-brown grip, dull metal, and a rough finish. The model belongs to the earthen weapon set from The War Within dungeons — the same series as the daggers that drop in this expansion's local dungeons.
The dagger is intended for classes that use intellect daggers: mage, druid, priest, shaman, warlock, and evoker. For transmogrification, the role's class affiliation does not matter — the appearance is unlocked in the wardrobe and is available to any character of the matching weapon type. The item's main value is purely cosmetic: the earthy color scheme fits well into looks built around the earthen theme, the stone culture of Khaz Algar, and adventures on Siren Isle.
The primary way to obtain the dagger is to buy it from a vendor. This is the most reliable path: the item does not depend on luck and is available as soon as you save up the currency.
/way 67.6 41.6.There is also a second path — drops. The dagger can drop from rare creatures and treasure chests all across Siren Isle, as well as from the
Earthen Landlubber's Cache container, which is awarded for completing the weekly storm phase. This method depends on chance, so you should not rely on it as your main approach — buying from Argarom is faster and more predictable.
You can reach Siren Isle from Dornogal: after a short introductory quest chain, an airship opens up that ferries you to the island. Once the introductory chain is complete, a second route appears as well — a drilling rig.
The earthen weapon model from The War Within dungeons exists in several color variants. The closest related daggers and weapons from the same set:
| Item | Source |
|---|---|
| Earthen Landlubber's Knife | Siren Isle, purchase and drops |
| Earthen Deckhand's Dagger | Siren Isle, purchase and drops |
| Earthen Scallywag's Saber | Argarom, Siren Isle |
The Earthen Landlubber's Knife uses exactly the same earthy-grey coloring as the Earthen Scallywag's Kris — it is effectively the same look in knife form. The Earthen Deckhand's Dagger carries a different shade of the same silhouette and suits those who want a slight color contrast between the main and off hand. The Earthen Scallywag's Saber is a one-handed sword from the same earthen weapon set, a handy pair for a set that needs not a dagger but a longer blade.
The fastest way is to save up Flame-Blessed Iron deliberately: 175 units add up over a few rounds of quests and chests on Siren Isle.
On the same trip around the island you can gather several pieces of the earthen scallywag set at once — plan your purchases so you don't have to return to Argarom again.
If you are already farming gear to boost your item level on Siren Isle, the dagger's appearance unlocks along the way — a separate run just for the transmog is not needed.
Don't skip the weekly
Earthen Landlubber's Cache: it is awarded for completing the storm phase and, alongside gear, may immediately hand you the appearance you need.
Drops from rare creatures and chests are a pleasant bonus, but don't count on them: if you have the currency, buying from Argarom is always faster.
The appearance is added to your collection as soon as you receive the item — even if the dagger does not suit your class by stats, the look will remain in your wardrobe.
The War Within expansion remains current content, so Siren Isle and the vendor work without time limits — there is no need to rush the purchase.
It is convenient to save Argarom's coordinates with the /way command so you don't have to search the coast for the vendor by hand.
