Get Elemental Crescent
Overview

Elemental Crescent is a one-handed axe appearance from the Warlords of Draenor expansion. In the collection the item is listed as a cosmetic effect and unlocks the transmog appearance account-wide for your whole roster at once. The blade is styled after a churning element: a dark haft and a broad face with the effect of flowing, almost molten metal in blue-green tones. It is one of the most recognizable weapon appearances of the Draenor era — it instantly marks a player who once cleared the dungeons at the gold rating.
The appearance suits any class capable of wielding a one-handed axe and is used purely for transmogrification.
Source
Elemental Crescent is one of the rewards for the Challenge Warlord: Gold achievement. To earn it, you must clear every dungeon of the Warlords of Draenor expansion in Challenge Mode with a gold time rating. This achievement unlocks the entire set of weapon appearances at once, including the Elemental Crescent.
Once the achievement is complete, the appearances can be purchased from the challenge masters for gold:
- Challenger Savina — for the Alliance, in the town of Stormshield in Ashran.
- Challenger Sunforge — for the Horde, in the town of Warspear in Ashran.
An important caveat: the Draenor Challenge Mode and its associated gold rating were removed from the game when the expansion left. If the achievement was not earned at the time, the Elemental Crescent can no longer be unlocked on live realms — it is an appearance with limited availability. Those who met the requirement keep purchase access forever.
Who It Suits Visually
- Harmonizes with sets in blue-green and turquoise palettes — for example, armor with water or nature magic effects.
- Suits shaman and druid looks thanks to the "elemental" theme of the blade.
- Contrasts with dark plate armor, adding a bright color accent on the weapon.
- Looks great paired with another weapon from the same Draenor challenge set if you are assembling a unified "challenge kit."
Tips
The appearance is added account-wide at once — you only need to obtain it once on any character.
If the achievement is already complete, don't forget to actually buy the appearance from the challenge master — the achievement itself does not grant it automatically.
Check both vendors by faction: Savina and Sunforge offer the same selection, but each is available only to your own side.
This is a prestige appearance of limited availability — it highlights veteran game tenure, which is why it is prized in weapon collections.
If the appearance is unavailable due to an unearned achievement, you can look for similar "elemental" aesthetics among weapons from later expansions, but there is no exact copy of this model in open access.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
