Enchanted Spellweave Carpet
Overview

Enchanted Spellweave Carpet is an epic ground and flying mount added in patch 11.0.5 of The War Within expansion as part of the reward refresh for the "Timewalking: Wrath of the Lich King" event. It is an elegant purple flying carpet, woven by Dalaran mages using self-repairing enchantments from spellweave cloth. The mount is purchased from Auzin in Dalaran (Northrend) for 5,000 Timewarped Badges.
The carpet's design is done in purple and gold tones with an arcane shimmer. The character sits cross-legged on a luxurious carpet that glides smoothly above the ground. The mount has a unique animation when using the /mountspecial command — the carpet spins dramatically around its own axis.
Why You Want This Mount
- Guaranteed acquisition — the mount is bought from a vendor for currency, not dropped at a percentage chance. As soon as you save up enough badges, the carpet is yours
- Unique model — the purple carpet with arcane enchantments stands out among other flying mounts. It is one of the few carpets available without the Tailoring profession
- No profession required — unlike other flying carpets, you do not need Tailoring to use this mount
- Ground and flying — the mount adapts to your riding skill and current location, working both on the ground and in the air
- Available to all characters — once purchased, the mount becomes available on every character on your account
- Spectacular animation — using /mountspecial, the carpet performs an eye-catching spin that draws the attention of nearby players
Requirements
To purchase and use the mount, you must meet the following conditions:
- Character level: 10+
- Riding skill: Apprentice Riding (ground mode), Expert Riding (for flight)
- Currency: 5,000 Timewarped Badges
- Event: Timewalking: Wrath of the Lich King must be active
- Profession: not required

- Head to Dalaran (Northrend) and find Auzin by the central fountain in Runeweaver Square
- Purchase the
Enchanted Spellweave Carpet and use the item to learn the mount
Step-by-Step Guide to Earning Timewarped Badges
Timewarped Badges are the main currency of Timewalking events. To buy the carpet, you will need 5,000 badges. Here is how to earn them as efficiently as possible.
Main Sources of Badges
- Weekly quest — pick up the "An Unstable Prism" quest from Auzin in Dalaran. Completing the first dungeon with the quest grants 500 badges
- Timewalking dungeons — each dungeon awards Timewarped Badges. Repeat runs with the quest grant 200 badges each
- Dungeon bosses — each boss in a Timewalking dungeon rewards a small amount of badges
Available WotLK Dungeons
During the WotLK Timewalking event, the following dungeons are available:
- Azjol-Nerub
- The Forge of Souls
- Gundrak
- The Halls of Lightning
- The Nexus
- Utgarde Keep
How Long It Will Take
The Timewalking event lasts one week. In a single week of active play you can earn enough badges to buy the carpet, especially if you have several characters. The weekly quest is available to each character, and badges are shared across the account. If you do not gather enough badges during one event — they carry over to the next.
Optimal Farming Plan
- Pick up the weekly quest on every available character — this is the fastest way to earn a large chunk of badges
- Run dungeons through the group finder — the queue is usually short during the event
- At level 90, WotLK dungeons scale to your level, so the difficulty is appropriate
- Use a tank or healer for instant group placement through the dungeon finder
- Don't forget to check your accumulated badges — they are displayed in the "Currency" tab of the character window
Tips
Stock up on badges in advance — Timewarped Badges do not disappear after an event ends. You can accumulate them over several Timewalking events (of any expansion, not just WotLK) and spend them on the carpet during the WotLK event
Use your alts — the Timewalking weekly quest is available to each character separately. Complete it on several characters to speed up badge collection
Auzin stays for another 24 hours — after the WotLK Timewalking event ends, the vendor remains in place for an extra day. Don't panic if the event is ending — you have additional time to make the purchase
Check the calendar — the bonus event schedule is available in the in-game calendar (the button next to the minimap). This way you'll know exactly when the next WotLK event begins
No Tailoring required — you do not need a profession to use the Enchanted Spellweave Carpet. It is a purely purchasable mount
Account-wide mount — once learned, the carpet is available to all your characters. Buy it on any convenient character
Combine your farming — while you run Timewalking dungeons, keep an eye on Auzin's other goods: there are interesting toys, cosmetic items, and tabards for reputation with Northrend factions
