Ergospheric Cudgel — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Ergospheric Cudgel is a one-handed blunt cudgel added to World of Warcraft in the The War Within expansion with the release of the Manaforge Omega raid. This weapon is built on the aesthetic of the ethereals and the shattered world of K'aresh: a dark body with floating arcane inlays and a pulsing void glow, like a shard of warped reality itself.
Stat-wise it is an agility weapon, so it is worn first and foremost by rogues, Enhancement shamans, and monks. But for transmog the class and role do not matter: once you have the appearance, you can apply it to any one-handed cudgel of the matching type. The base item level is 662, yet the cudgel's value today is primarily cosmetic — it is one of the most recognizable weapon appearances from the final The War Within raid.
Source
The Ergospheric Cudgel drops from Dimensius — the last boss of the Manaforge Omega raid, located on K'aresh near the Dimming Point. This is the final encounter of the entire expansion, and it is the source of most of the expansion's most prized weapon appearances.
- The appearance is available on all raid difficulties: Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. Each mode grants its own tint of the model.
- The drop chance from Dimensius is around 20.9%, which is fairly generous for a raid weapon.
- Farming is not locked behind a hard weekly lockout on the appearance itself: you can fight the boss every week on your character and farm the variant you want until the appearance drops.
- The minimum level to enter is 80, but in Midnight the raid is noticeably easier than current-season content.
- In addition, weapon appearances from any difficulty can be purchased from a vendor selling recolored versions once you reach renown rank 12 with the Manaforge Vandals faction — a backup route if the drop stubbornly refuses to come.
Who it suits visually
- The cudgel pairs well with armor sets from Manaforge Omega: the class sets from this raid are made in the same ethereal-void palette of K'aresh and combine with the weapon into a single look.
- The dark body with violet-blue arcane glow fits void-themed looks well — Shadow priests, warlocks, and Void-inspired templates.
- The floating shard elements echo ethereal and arcane gear, so the cudgel suits "magical" sets full of crystals and energy.
- For a contrasting look, the cudgel can be combined with light or metallic armor — the cold void glow will stand out sharply against the backdrop.
Tips
It is best to farm the appearance on an agility class (rogue, Enhancement shaman, monk) — that way the cudgel serves both as a real weapon and as an appearance.
Go to the difficulty you need: the model's tint is tied to the mode in which Dimensius is defeated, so you need a Mythic kill for the Mythic recolor.
Do not rely on the drop alone — in parallel, build renown with the Manaforge Vandals so that by rank 12 you unlock the direct purchase of appearances on all difficulties.
The raid is cleared as a group, but in Midnight a below-current roster can be assembled flexibly: for the appearance it is enough to bring the group to Dimensius, while the other bosses along the way grant other appearances from this set.
Visit the boss weekly: with a chance of around 20.9%, most players need only a few runs to get the variant they want.
Check your appearance collection before going in — if you already have the current difficulty's tint unlocked, it makes sense to go to a higher mode for a new recolor.
