Reins of the Evening Sun Dreamsaber
Overview

Reins of the Evening Sun Dreamsaber is a ground mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.2 "Guardians of the Dream" of the Dragonflight expansion. It is a large cat with a thick coat in purple-orange shades and a blazing mane painted in the colors of the evening sky. The in-game text describes the Dreamsabers as fierce in battle yet lazy predators basking in the glades: "These dreamsabers are ferocious predators, yet they prefer to spend their time lounging lazily out in an open glade. The more daylight their flame soaks up, the brighter it will burn."
The mount is sold by the vendor Talisa Whisperbloom in the Central Encampment of the Emerald Dream for 1
Seedbloom. To purchase it you must reach renown level 18 with the Dream Wardens faction. With a small chance, the mount also drops from the
Gigantic Dreamy Bounty, which appears when you plant a
Gigantic Dreamseed during the Emerald Bounty event.
Why you want this mount
- Unique evening coloring — the model belongs to the dreamsaber family introduced in patch 10.2. The evening variant combines an orange-purple coat with a fiery mane, making it one of the most striking feline mounts in Dragonflight.
- Guaranteed acquisition — unlike the raid
Reins of the Shadow Dusk Dreamsaber or the rare
Reins of the Winter Night Dreamsaber, the evening dreamsaber is bought from a vendor for currency. With consistent play you will earn it in 18 weeks at most. - Account-wide access — once purchased, the mount unlocks on every character on your account, regardless of faction and class.
- A pair with the
Reins of the Morning Flourish Dreamsaber — both dreamsabers are sold for the same currency by the same vendor, letting you collect both in parallel. - Chance at a double roll — while you farm reputation and Dreamseeds, planting Gigantic Dreamseeds carries an independent chance to get the mount sooner from the
Gigantic Dreamy Bounty.
How to obtain
The main path is to raise your Dream Wardens renown to level 18 and accumulate Dreamseeds through a weekly quest.
- Unlock the Emerald Dream zone by completing the starting storyline of patch 10.2 "Guardians of the Dream"
- Raise your reputation with the Dream Wardens to renown level 18. Each level requires 2,500 reputation points
- Each week complete the Blooming Dreamseeds quest from Talisa Whisperbloom in the Central Encampment. For planting three Dreamseeds you receive 1 Seedbloom and a
Gigantic Dreamy Bounty - Once you have 1 Seedbloom and have reached renown 18, return to Talisa Whisperbloom (coordinates roughly 49.8, 62.0)
- Buy the
Reins of the Evening Sun Dreamsaber for 1 Seedbloom
Seedbloom — the key currency
Seedbloom is the weekly currency of the Emerald Dream, without which the mount cannot be purchased. One Seedbloom is awarded once per week for completing the Blooming Dreamseeds quest.
| How to obtain | Amount per week |
|---|---|
| Blooming Dreamseeds quest | 1 |
| Drop chance from the |
Random |
To complete the quest, plant three Dreamseeds of any quality in active Emerald Bounty events. Together with the Seedbloom you receive a
Gigantic Dreamy Bounty, which may contain an extra seed and a chance at the mount itself.
Dreamseeds and the Emerald Bounty
The Emerald Bounty is a special event in the Emerald Dream zone where players plant seeds to grow Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope. There are three qualities of seed, and the rewards depend on the chosen quality.
| Seed | Source | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Rare enemies, world quests | Basic resources and reputation | |
| Superbloom and Emerald Frenzy events | Enhanced resources, chance at pets | |
| Rare drops, world chests | Chance at Dreamsaber and Dreamstag family mounts |
Any seed quality works for the weekly quest. However, to get a chance at the mount directly from the Emerald Bounty, you must plant Gigantic Dreamseeds specifically. They can be picked up and stored in advance so you can plant them in a defended, high-reward event.
How to farm Dream Wardens reputation
For renown level 18 you will need 45,000 reputation points. If you are new to the Emerald Dream, here is the optimal path:
- Complete the patch 10.2 "Guardians of the Dream" campaign — 6 chapters of 2,500 reputation each (15,000 total)
- Complete all side quests in the zone — about 16,000 reputation one time
- Each week run The Superbloom — the event grants 1,000 reputation from the first bag plus chances at extra rewards
- Take the weekly quest A Worthy Ally: Dream Wardens — 500 reputation
- Complete world quests in the Emerald Dream — 50 reputation each
- Open chests in the zone — 200 reputation per find
- Kill rare bosses — 25 reputation for the first kill of the day
How long it takes
With active play, the storyline and side quests grant about 31,000 reputation almost immediately. The remaining 14,000 is closed out over 3–4 weeks of standard activity. If you only do the weekly quests and the Superbloom, the path to renown 18 takes 8–10 weeks.
Optimizing the farm
Use all three sources
The Seedbloom, the Gigantic Dreamy Bounty, and planting Gigantic Dreamseeds are three independent chances at the mount each week.
- Guaranteed: bank 1 Seedbloom per week through the Blooming Dreamseeds quest.
- Open the Gigantic Dreamy Bounty — it may contain an extra seed and the mount itself.
- Plant Gigantic Dreamseeds in Emerald Bounty events — the Gigantic Dreamy Bounty has an independent chance at the dreamsaber.
Collect in parallel
For Seedbloom, Talisa Whisperbloom also sells the
Reins of the Morning Flourish Dreamsaber, the
Reins of the Blossoming Dreamstag, and other mounts. If you plan to collect the whole series, save up seeds in advance and buy the mounts in order of priority.
Don't skip the Superbloom
The Superbloom starts once every hour and a half in the Emerald Dream. The first run of the week grants 1,000 reputation, a chance at seeds, and cosmetics. It is the most efficient weekly event for leveling Dream Wardens.
Tips
Stockpile Gigantic Dreamseeds in advance — take them from rare bosses and the Field of Flowers, and don't plant them right away. That way you can plant them in defended events where the rewards are higher.
Group up for the Emerald Bounty — events scale with the number of players, and in a large group you fill the progress bar faster. Defending Gigantic Dreamseeds solo is hard because of the high-level enemies.
Don't skip the weekly quest — the Seedbloom is awarded only once per week, and skipping it means losing a guaranteed chance at the mount.
Level up extra characters — the Seedbloom and currency are character-bound, so each alt gives +1 seed per week and an independent chance from the bounties.
The mount is account-wide once obtained — as soon as one character buys the
Reins of the Evening Sun Dreamsaber, the mount appears in the collection of every character on your account.
The matching evening dreamsabers — the raid
Reins of the Shadow Dusk Dreamsaber (a reward for "Dream Raider" glory in Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope) and the rare
Reins of the Winter Night Dreamsaber will round out your collection of evening cats.
