Felstorm Dragon

Felstorm Dragon is an epic flying mount added in patch 10.1.5 "Fractures in Time" of the Dragonflight expansion. It is a storm drake corrupted by fel energy: green scales covered in heavy plating, with a demonic glow pulsing across its body. According to the lore, in one distant timeline the Burning Legion conquered the dragons, and these malevolent fel-drakes chose submission and corruption over destruction.

The mount is purchased from Falara Nightsong at the Tyrhold Reservoir (Thaldraszus) for 3,000 Elemental Overflow. It can also drop from the final boss of the Aberrus Time Rift.

• Guaranteed acquisition — the mount can be bought from a vendor with Time Rift currency, without relying on drop luck
• Unique model — a green fel-storm coloration of the dragon. The model is based on the storm drake, but with a demonic green tint
• Flying mount — works both on the ground and in the air. Flight speed up to +310% depending on your riding skill
• Warband-bound — once learned, the mount is available on every character on your account
• Burning Legion lore — one of the few mounts tied to the alternate timeline where the Legion won

There are two ways to get the Felstorm Dragon: buy it with Elemental Overflow or farm it from a Time Rift boss.

Method 1: Buy from the Vendor (Guaranteed)

1. Save up 3,000 Elemental Overflow by taking part in Time Rifts
2. Travel to the Tyrhold Reservoir in Thaldraszus (/way 51.0 56.6)
3. Find Falara Nightsong
4. Buy the Felstorm Dragon and use the item to learn the mount

Method 2: Boss Drop (Random)

1. Take part in Time Rifts while the Aberrus timeline is active
2. Defeat the final boss of the Time Rift
3. The mount can drop directly from the boss or from the Cache of Collapsing Reality
4. The drop chance is low and does not depend on the reward tier reached in the first phase

How Long It Takes to Farm 3,000 Currency

With active farming — completing the weekly quest (1,000 currency), the daily quests (~70 each), and joining several rifts a day (~150–200 per rift) — you can save up 3,000 Elemental Overflow in roughly 1–2 weeks.

If you only join 1–2 rifts a day and complete the quests, it will take about 2–3 weeks.

Daily Plan

1. Pick up the daily quests from the NPCs at the Edge of Reality (near the Time Rift hub)
2. Wait for the hour to start and enter the Time Rift through Soridormi
3. Take an active part in the first phase — kill mobs and complete objectives
4. Go through the portal and kill the final boss
5. Repeat in the next hour if you have time
6. Don't forget to turn in the weekly quest once it is complete

Which Class Is Easiest

Time Rifts are group content, so class does not play a critical role. However, classes with strong AoE (Mage, Demon Hunter) clear packs of mobs faster in the first phase and earn more currency from individual kills.
