Requirements

  • Any class at level 80
  • No attunement required
  • Don't confuse it with "Return to Karazhan" (Legion) — that's a different dungeon

How to Get to Karazhan

Karazhan is in Deadwind Pass, Eastern Kingdoms. Coordinates: 46, 74.

The entrance to the original raid is through the gate at ground level (don't confuse it with the entrance to the Legion version higher up the tower).

Mount Source

Attumen is the first boss. You don't need to clear the entire raid. The chance is ~1%. Also available at the Black Market Auction House with a starting bid of 20,000 gold.

Walkthrough: Attumen the Huntsman

~3 minutes. From the entrance, turn left into the stables. Attack Midnight — at 95% HP Attumen appears, and at 25% of Midnight's HP he mounts up. At level 80 it takes only seconds.

Farming Optimization

Characters Attempts/year Chance per year
1 52 ~41%
5 260 ~93%
10 520 ~99.5%

Tips

1

Don't confuse the two Karazhans (the TBC original and Legion)

The Rarity addon for tracking stats

4

Keep an eye on the Black Market Auction House
