Overview

Reins of the Fur-endship Fox

Game iconReins of the Fur-endship Fox is a flying mount added to World of Warcraft in the Dragonflight expansion (patch 10.2.5, January 2024). It is a pink magical fox with heart-shaped tack, a design tied to the annual Love is in the Air holiday. The item's flavor text reads: "These magical creatures thrive on love and friendship."

The mount is sold at the Trading Post for 750 Trader's Tender and belongs to the sky fox family. Besides the pink fox, color variants have appeared at the Trading Post in different months: Game iconReins of the Soaring Sky Fox (blue) and Game iconReins of the Twilight Sky Prowler (purple).

Why You Want This Mount

  • A unique pink model — the only pink fox in the game with heart-shaped tack. It fits the Love is in the Air holiday theme and the spring season perfectly.
  • A full-fledged flying mount — it grants standard flying-mount bonuses and supports dynamic Dragonriding flight if your character has unlocked the relevant abilities.
  • Account-wide access — after purchasing it on one character, the mount automatically appears in the collection of every character regardless of faction, race, or class.
  • No random drop required — a guaranteed purchase with Trading Post currency removes any dependence on luck or rare rolls.
  • Part of a three-variant collection — collect the entire sky fox series: the pink, blue, and purple models to fill out your mount collection.

How to Get It

The only path to the mount is purchasing it during a month when the Game iconReins of the Fur-endship Fox is in the reward rotation. The mount first appeared in February 2024 and then returned in February 2025 and February 2026.

  1. Log into the game with a level 10 or higher character — the Trading Post is available from that level.
  2. Open the achievements window and go to the "Traveler's Log" tab — it shows the current month's rewards.
  3. If the list includes the Game iconReins of the Fur-endship Fox, head to the Trading Post in Stormwind City (Alliance) or Orgrimmar (Horde).
  4. Open the chest next to the Trading Post tent and claim the monthly 500 Trader's Tender.
  5. Fill the progress bar in the Traveler's Log by completing monthly tasks, and earn up to 500 more Tender.
  6. Talk to the post merchant and buy the Game iconReins of the Fur-endship Fox for 750 Tender.

What Is Trader's Tender

Trader's Tender is the main currency of the Trading Post. It is account-bound and never expires: any accumulated balance automatically carries over to the next month.

Source Amount per month
Trading Post chest (for logging in) 500
Filling the Traveler's Log bar up to 500
Total monthly maximum 1,000

If you logged in and received only the 500 Tender from the chest, you won't be able to save up the required 750 in a single month — you'll have to either spend part of the balance from previous months or complete the log's monthly tasks.

Traveler's Log — Monthly Tasks

The Traveler's Log refreshes on the first day of each month. It contains a set of themed tasks that grant progress points. Rewards for progress milestones:

Progress Reward
50% 250 Trader's Tender
100% 250 Tender and a monthly cosmetic item

To complete the bar, you only need to finish some of the tasks — not all of them. Among the typical activities:

  • Clearing dungeons and raids
  • Wins in battlegrounds and arenas
  • Completing Adventure Hour scenarios and the Hawk's Watch island
  • Gathering profession materials and crafting items
  • Taking part in seasonal holidays (Love is in the Air, Midsummer Fire Festival, and others)
  • Completing weekly open-world quests on current continents

How to Save Up 750 Tender

If you start collecting the currency from scratch, a single month won't be enough — the cap is 1,000 Tender, but 250 of them are unavailable without fully completing the log. Optimal saving strategies:

One-Month Strategy

  1. Log into the game in the first days of the month and claim the 500 Tender from the Trading Post chest
  2. Open the Traveler's Log and pick the 6–8 easiest tasks
  3. Complete the 50% and 100% milestones over 2–3 evenings of active play — earn another 500 Tender
  4. Buy the mount and keep 250 Tender for future rewards

Saving Strategy

If you missed the February rotation or want a safety net, save up the currency in advance. Any Trader's Tender left in your wallet carries over to the next month with no limits. By the following February you may have accumulated enough not only for the fox, but for other rewards as well.

Trading Post Tips

  • The Trading Post refreshes on the 1st of each month at 10:00 server time. On that day the assortment and log tasks change.
  • The chest in Stormwind and Orgrimmar is identical — you only need to claim it once per month per account, not on every character.
  • The Traveler's Log is shared across all characters — tasks completed on one hero count for the whole account.
  • The month's rewards are removed from the storefront on the first of the next month, but the currency remains.
  • If the mount isn't in the current assortment, wait for the rotation to return or follow announcements on Wowhead and the official news.

Tips

1

Bring alts in to complete tasks — many log tasks count for activities on any character on the account. If your main hero is tired of grinding, switch to an alt in the current expansion.

2

Watch for Trading Post announcements — news outlets publish the next month's assortment a few days before the refresh, giving you time to prepare.

3

Don't waste your Tender — if there's nothing interesting this month, save the currency for expensive rewards (some Trading Post mounts cost 900 Tender)

4

Use seasonal events to speed up progress — log tasks are often synced with current holidays. In February it's Love is in the Air, which makes filling the bar easier.

5

The mount is bound on acquisition — you can't sell it or give it to another player, but it automatically unlocks on all characters on the account.

6

The pink fox looks great paired with other "heart" rewards — the Romantic's set and Love is in the Air pets create a single festive look.

7

If you missed the February rotation, don't despair — Blizzard has steadily returned the inv_lovefoxmount_pinkReins of the Fur-endship Fox to the Trading Post every February since the release of patch 10.2.5.
