Get Galactic Warmonger's Dirk
Overview

Galactic Warmonger's Dirk is a one-handed dagger with item level 237 that arrived in the Midnight expansion alongside the launch of Season 1. It belongs to the War Mode PvP gear branch: outside arenas and battlegrounds the item sits at base level 237, while inside instanced PvP it automatically scales up to 276.
The dirk has a short, sharp silhouette with a dark metal hilt and a blade in cool blue-and-purple tones — visually the blade stays true to the overall "galactic" theme of Season 1 and pairs well with the matching leather set. It is available to rogues and suits both main melee combat specializations.
Item stats: damage 58–98, speed 1.80, DPS 43.3. The base bonuses are agility, stamina, haste, and versatility. Both using and transmogrifying it require level 90.
Source
The dirk belongs to the War Mode gear branch and is purchased with the Bloody Tokens currency. This is a PvP currency that returned to the game in Midnight: tokens are awarded for open-world activities with War Mode enabled.
Where to buy the dirk:
- In Moonlight, in the PvP vendor district in the southwest of the city.
- At Masters' Perch — a neutral PvP hub on the Slayers' Rise, where vendors of both factions are gathered.
How to gather Bloody Tokens:
- The weekly "Sparks of War" quest from Moonlight is the main source, granting about 1,000 tokens per turn-in.
- War Supplies — crates respawn once every 45 minutes in each War Mode zone and give around 50 tokens.
- World PvP quests and kills of opposing-faction players with War Mode enabled.
This gear branch has no rating requirement — you simply farm tokens in the open world. That makes the "Galactic Warmonger's Dirk" one of the most accessible Season 1 PvP daggers for transmog collectors.
Who it suits visually
- It matches the namesake "galactic warmonger" leather set — the shared color and theme layout was designed as a single whole.
- It fits any dark-purple and blue-steel sets from Season 1 Midnight — the dagger never clashes with the palette.
- It looks great as a pair of two identical daggers for an Assassination or Subtlety rogue, when you want to assemble a "matched" set from one series.
- It contrasts with the warm sets from the Steppes and desert zones — the blade stays a separate cold accent.
- It harmonizes with flight glyphs and cloaks in the purple range of Midnight Season 1.
Tips
The dirk is first and foremost a transmog reward, not a combat weapon: item level 237 outside arenas quickly falls behind PvE seasonal gear. Get it purely for the look.
The fastest way to gather Bloody Tokens is to turn in the weekly "Sparks of War" quest every week and clear War Supply crates in War Mode zones at the same time.
Turn War Mode on ahead of time: bonus rewards for open-world activities and the Bloody Tokens themselves only drop while the mode is active.
Masters' Perch is convenient because vendors of both factions are gathered there and there is a portal to Moonlight — you can buy the entire "galactic warmonger" set in a single visit.
The dagger is intended for rogues; if you do not play a rogue, the item can only be unlocked through a transmog build, not worn as a weapon.
Save your Bloody Tokens between weeks: they will cover the remaining set slots too, including the chest, bracers, and leggings.
If you plan to collect the whole "galactic" line, start with the War Mode gear: the rated and gladiator branches require arenas and higher thresholds, while this one is available to any player with War Mode enabled.
