Geargrinder Mk. 11 — How to Get the Worldsoul-Searching Mount

Geargrinder Mk. 11 is a unique ground siege machine that you receive for completing the mega-meta-achievement Worldsoul-Searching. This is the very same shredder that Vexi Full Throttle pilots in the first encounter of the Liberation of Undermine raid. According to the in-game description, the mount "goes through a new iteration every time it explodes."

In addition to the mount, completing the achievement also awards a decorative home item — the Depleted Dark Heart of Galakrond.

The achievement Worldsoul-Searching is a mega-meta-achievement for The War Within expansion, added in patch 11.2.7. It combines key content from the entire expansion: raids, delves, zone exploration, reputations, campaigns, and much more.

The achievement is account-wide (Warband) and has no time limit — it can be completed even after The War Within ends. However, some components will become harder due to content rotation and a declining player base.

Requirements:

• Level 80 character
• Access to all Khaz Algar zones, the Siren Isle, Undermine, and K'aresh
• Completed The War Within campaigns

Worldsoul-Searching requires completing 10 major achievements, each containing numerous sub-tasks.

1. Raids: Nerub-ar Palace, Liberation of Undermine, Manaforge Omega

Three raid achievements — the simplest by requirement: defeat all bosses on any difficulty. Even Raid Finder (LFR) counts. Each raid has 8 bosses.

• Nerub-ar Palace — Season 1 raid, located in Azj-Kahet
• Liberation of Undermine — Season 2 raid, located in the goblin city of Undermine
• Manaforge Omega — Season 3 raid, located in K'aresh

All three raids are available through Raid Finder, so assembling a group manually is optional. Progress is account-wide — you can kill some bosses on one character and the rest on another.

2. All That Khaz

A meta-achievement covering the main activities in Khaz Algar. Includes 6 sub-tasks:

• Khaz Algar Flight Master — find all 18 flight points across the four zones
• Khaz Algar Glyph Hunter — discover all skyriding glyphs in all four zones (Isle of Dorn, Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall, Azj-Kahet)
• Khaz Algar Loremaster — complete all main and side storylines in each zone
• Khaz Algar Story Hunter — find all story items
• Khaz Algar Diplomat — reach a certain renown rank with all factions
• Allied Race: Earthen — unlock the Earthen allied race

Most of these tasks are completed naturally while progressing through the campaign and exploring zones.

3. You Xal Not Pass

One of the most extensive achievements on the list. Consists of 5 zone meta-achievements — one for each Khaz Algar zone plus the Siren Isle. In total, it includes 37 sub-tasks, but nearly all are solo activities that do not require strong gear:

• Slate of the Union — Isle of Dorn
• Rage Aside the Machine — Ringing Deeps
• Crystal Chronicled — Hallowfall
• Azj the World Turns — Azj-Kahet
• Isle Remember You — Siren Isle

Each includes hunting rare mobs, collecting treasures, completing zone events, and finding hidden objects.

4. The War Within Pathfinder

Requires completing the story campaigns of all four zones and fully exploring the Khaz Algar map. Completing this also grants access to Steady Flight in the expansion's zones. Sub-tasks:

• Isle of Dorn campaign
• Ringing Deeps campaign
• Hallowfall campaign
• Azj-Kahet campaign
• Explorer of Khaz Algar (reveal the entire map)

If you have already completed the expansion storyline, most of this is done.

5. Glory of the War Within Delver

A meta-achievement for the delve system. Requires:

• Complete a Tier 8 delve with lives remaining
• Complete story versions of all delves
• Find all sturdy chests in delves
• Complete special conditions in several delves (avoid spores, don't drown, dodge projectiles)
• Level Brann Bronzebeard to 25
• Defeat the seasonal Nemesis (Zekvir, Tunnel Bore, or Nexus-Princess Ki'vessa)

This achievement takes time to level Brann and learn each delve's mechanics.

6. Going Goblin Mode

Six achievements related to exploring the Undermine zone:

• Adventurer of Undermine — kill 10 of 21 rare mobs
• Nine-Tenths of the Law — find all 5 of Muff's autocells and solve wire puzzles
• Can Do, Can Kick — kick 25 cans throughout Undermine
• Treasures of Undermine — discover all 15 treasures
• Read Between the Lines — find and read 7 books (2 in the Ringing Deeps, 5 in Undermine)
• You Are My Friend Now — befriend 5 rats by picking them up across the zone

A fun and straightforward achievement for exploration lovers.

7. Owner of a Radiant Heart

Requires reaching Renown 10 with The Flame's Radiance faction. Reputation is earned through:

• Nightfall scenarios in Hallowfall
• Radiant Incursions
• Weekly faction quests

This is a recurring weekly activity that takes several weeks.

8. Unraveled and Persevering

A meta-achievement for the K'aresh zone (patch 11.2 content). Includes:

• Defeat all K'aresh rare mobs
• Collect all treasures
• Fully explore the zone
• Find and pet all hidden Purrkins
• Read all lore books
• Complete 4 weekly bounty quests

Prioritize

Start with content that is time-gated or requires consistency:

1. The Flame's Radiance reputation — earned weekly, start as soon as possible
2. Leveling Brann to 25 — requires many delves, start alongside other tasks
3. Raids — queue for Raid Finder every week if you haven't cleared all bosses

Combine Tasks

Many achievements overlap. While exploring a zone for You Xal Not Pass, you simultaneously complete glyphs, flight points, and map exploration for other achievements.

Use Addons

• TomTom — for coordinate navigation. The /ttpaste command lets you quickly load coordinate lists
• The War Within Meta Achievement Tracker — an addon specifically for tracking Worldsoul-Searching progress (CurseForge)
• HandyNotes — for displaying rare mobs and treasures on the map

Recommended Order

1. Complete the story campaigns for all zones (completes Pathfinder)
2. Fully explore each zone (glyphs, flight points, rare mobs, treasures)
3. Clear raids via Raid Finder in parallel
4. Regularly run delves to level Brann
5. Complete The Flame's Radiance content every week
6. Finish minor tasks last — kicking cans, befriending rats, etc.

Total time: approximately 60 to 100+ hours, depending on your existing progress. If you have been actively playing The War Within since Season 1, a significant portion may already be done. For a player starting from scratch, expect 6–10 weeks of regular play.
