Gilded Mawsworn Greatsword — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Gilded Mawsworn Greatsword is a cosmetic two-handed sword added in the Shadowlands expansion with patch 9.2. It is a faithful replica of the weapon wielded by the Mawsworn within the Maw, reimagined in a warm golden-brass palette with a massive blade and jagged edges near the base.
The sword belongs to the two-handed weapon slot and is available for transmogrification to warriors, paladins, and death knights. It is a purely cosmetic item with item level 1: it carries no stats and exists solely for its appearance in your appearances collection.
Source
The sword is sold by brokers inside Torghast, Tower of the Damned — a separate tower deep within the Maw. The vendor Broker Ve'nott and other brokers offer cosmetic weapons for Phantasma, a local currency you accumulate during the run itself.
- The purchasing currency is Phantasma, which only builds up within your current Torghast run and is lost once it ends.
- The sword costs 300 Phantasma.
- Cosmetic weapons appear in the brokers' stock on the higher layers (roughly layer 13 and above), so you need to push the run fairly deep.
- The item is account-bound and unlocks immediately for all characters on your battle account.
- There is no purchase limit: once you gather 300 Phantasma and meet a broker carrying the right item, the sword is yours.
Who It Suits Visually
- It fits plate sets in dark-gold and crimson tones — the look is built around the theme of the Maw and the Mawsworn.
- It harmonizes with Maw- and Necrolord-themed death knight sets thanks to the shared golden-bone palette.
- It stands out against purely white or silver armor — the golden blade becomes a color accent.
- It pairs well with "demonic" and infernal concepts thanks to its jagged silhouette and spiked base.
Tips
Phantasma cannot be stockpiled in advance — it exists only within a single run, so plan your purchase around a specific trip into the tower.
Push the run as deep as possible: cosmetic weapons appear at the brokers on the higher layers, not on the early floors.
Take anima powers for movement speed and damage — that way you reach the layers with the right stock faster and gather 300 Phantasma sooner.
Since the item is account-bound, it is more convenient to farm it on your most leveled character, and the appearance will unlock for everyone.
If the sword you want does not show up at the brokers during the current run, pick up the remaining set colors on later runs — the stock changes.
Durable self-healing specializations are handy for clearing Torghast layers, such as a death knight or a protection warrior.
