Gladiator's Spellblade — Transmog Set Guide

Gladiator's Spellblade is an epic-quality one-handed dagger for caster specializations, a reward from Season 1 of the arena in The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a short, fast blade with a slight curve and the massive purple-and-steel guard typical of the gladiator "armory": the core of the hilt is lit by a cold crystal, while the pommel is shaped like a small metal crescent.

The dagger is aimed at classes whose primary attribute is intellect: bonuses of +26 intellect and +7 stamina, speed 1.80, bind on pickup. In modern WoW its stats are a thing of the past; only the model matters. The icon corresponds to the base version of the gladiator dagger with a caster silhouette, the one that starts the entire "gladiator line" of caster weapons in The Burning Crusade.

This is the earliest tier in the "Gladiator → Merciless Gladiator → Vengeful Gladiator → Brutal Gladiator" chain: the caster blades of TBC Seasons 2, 3, and 4 are built on the same base silhouette but differ in their overlays and glow.

Originally the item was bought with arena points from the Season 1 PvP reward vendors in The Burning Crusade expansion. After the historical seasons closed, Blizzard moved all the old gladiator sets to vendors of vintage gear, where they are bought with the Mark of Honor currency.

• There are no faction or class restrictions: "spellblade" in the name refers to the weapon's primary attribute, not to a player class.
• There is no season restriction: the Mark of Honor is a permanent currency, farmed without being tied to the current PvP season.

The "arena rating" requirement that this item historically had in TBC Season 1 has been removed in the modern version of the game: it is enough to come to Kezzik the Striker with the required number of marks. If the dagger is not visible in the line of available PvP gear in Area 52, the character has not unlocked Outland; in that case you will have to run to Area 52 on foot or through the portal in Shattrath.
