Get Greed's Folly

Greed's Folly is an epic one-handed dagger from the Battle for Azeroth expansion. It is a short blade with a heavy spine and a carved Zandalari hilt: golden metal, scale-like engraving and a large gem at the base of the blade. The model is built in the spirit of the Zandalari treasure vault — the very room of trophies guarded by the keeper Opulence.

The dagger belongs to the Battle of Dazar'alor raid weapon set and pairs well with golden, bronze and dark teal looks. By its stats it is an agility weapon, so the model is most often collected by rogues, demon hunters and enhancement shamans — but for transmog the appearance is available to any class that can wield daggers.

The in-game name of the dagger — "Greed's Folly" — is a nod to the very mechanic of the fight: greed for the Zandalari treasures is what dooms those who overestimate their strength before the guardian.

The dagger drops from Opulence — the treasure guardian in the Battle of Dazar'alor raid. This is the fourth boss of the raid and the first in its second wing.

• The raid belongs to the Battle for Azeroth expansion, patch 8.1.0. It is now legacy content run for transmog, mounts and achievements.
• The chance to get the dagger from a single kill is about 4.6%. The drop is shared across all difficulties on which you start the fight.
• Raid difficulties: Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic. The dagger's appearance unlocks on any difficulty.
• The attempt limit is one Opulence kill per character per week on each difficulty. By starting the fight on different difficulties with separate characters, you can increase the number of attempts per week.
• The Opulence fight runs in two stages: first the raid splits into two groups and fights through trap halls to two Zandalari golems, then finishes off the keeper himself on a platform with gold flying everywhere. For transmog farming of past years, all of this has long been killable by a small group or solo.

How to enter the raid

The entrance to the Battle of Dazar'alor is in your faction's capital: for the Horde it is near the Great Seal in Zuldazar, for the Alliance it is by the docks in Boralus. The simplest way for transmog is to queue for Raid Finder.

• Horde: speak to Eppu in the Hall of Chroniclers on the second floor of the Great Seal in Dazar'alor.
• Alliance: speak to Kiku in Boralus.
• Through these history keepers you can queue for Raid Finder for any wing of the Battle of Dazar'alor. Opulence is in the second wing.
