Green Marsh Hopper

Green Marsh Hopper is an epic ground mount added in patch 8.1 of the Battle for Azeroth expansion. It is a giant green frog — one of the offspring of the legendary loa Krag'wa the Huge, which dwell in the swamps of Nazmir. The mount is purchased from the vendor Gottum for 333,333 gold.

Gottum is a unique NPC, the only friendly blood troll in the game. He collects Krag'wa's offspring from all across the Frogmarsh, but uses only the largest and fattest specimens as mounts. The mount has an amusing movement animation — your character bounces on the frog's back while the frog itself hops along in distinctive leaps.

• Guaranteed acquisition — the mount is bought from a vendor for gold. No RNG, no weekly resets and no percentage drop chance. Once you have saved up the gold, you claim the mount
• No reputation requirement — unlike most vendor mounts, Gottum requires no reputation. You just need to reach him and have the right amount
• Unique model — the frog mounts come in three color variations (green, blue, yellow), and they are all sold by the same vendor. The green hopper is the classic choice, a nod to the swampy theme of Nazmir
• Collection value — the mount counts toward the overall mount tally for collector achievements. All three hoppers together add three mounts to your collection at once
• Amusing animation — the hopper leaps rather than runs. It is one of the few mounts with a truly unique movement model that brings a smile to other players
• Available to both factions — the mount can be bought by both Horde and Alliance characters. Once purchased, it becomes available to every character on the account

To buy and use the mount you need:

• Character level: 10+ (to purchase the item), 17+ (to use the mount)
• Riding skill: Apprentice Riding
• Gold: 333,333 gold
• Reputation: not required
• Quests: not required (but completing the BfA introductory quests is recommended for convenient access to Nazmir)

Nazmir is a swampy zone on the continent of Zandalar, added in the Battle for Azeroth expansion. In the current patch you can reach Nazmir in several ways.

For Horde Characters

1. Head to Dazar'alor (the capital of Zandalar). The portal to Dazar'alor is available from Orgrimmar — look for the portal room on the upper tier of the fortress
2. From Dazar'alor, travel north through Zuldazar and cross the border into Nazmir through the Blood Gate
3. An alternative route is to use a flight point to the nearest stop in Nazmir, if it is already unlocked

For Alliance Characters

1. Head to Boralus (Kul Tiras). The portal is available from Stormwind — look for the portal room in the mage tower
2. From Boralus, use the ship or portal to Zandalar (available after completing the BfA war campaign storyline)
3. Once you reach Zandalar, travel into Nazmir through Zuldazar

Universal Method

If you have previously unlocked flight points in Nazmir, simply use a flight master. The closest flight point to Gottum is Krag'wa. From there, travel west toward the Frogmarsh.

Step 1: Prepare the Gold

Make sure you have 333,333 gold on a single character. The gold must be in your bags, not on another character or in the mail.

Step 2: Reach Nazmir

Use one of the methods described above. The optimal route is the portal to Dazar'alor (Horde) or Boralus (Alliance), then a flight point to Nazmir.

Step 3: Find the Frogmarsh

The Frogmarsh is located in the central part of Nazmir, west of Krag'wa's cave. On the map it is a marshy area filled with frogs and tadpoles.

Step 4: Find Gottum's Cave

Gottum hides in a small cave beneath the arching roots of a large tree on the southern side of the marsh. The coordinates of the cave entrance are: 71.21, 55.57. Look for a small opening under the roots — it is easy to miss if you do not know the exact location.

Step 5: Buy the Mount

Talk to Gottum and open the vendor window. He sells three hopper mounts:

• Green Marsh Hopper — 333,333 gold
• Blue Marsh Hopper — 333,333 gold
• Yellow Marsh Hopper — 333,333 gold

Select the Green Marsh Hopper and confirm the purchase.

Step 6: Learn the Mount

Use the item from your bags — the mount will be added to your mount collection and become available on all characters on the account.
