Guardian Quilen

Guardian Quilen is an epic ground mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.2.7 (May 7, 2024) as part of the limited-time WoW Remix: Pandaria event. The mount is a stone quilen guardian clad in massive bronze armor with a lion's face — one of the variants of the classic quilen model first introduced back in Mists of Pandaria.

The mount was sold by the vendor Hemet Nesingwary XVII in the Infinite Bazaars of Pandaria for 6,600 Bronze — the event's special currency. After WoW Remix: Pandaria ended on August 20, 2024, the mount became unobtainable. If the event returns in the future, the mount can once again be purchased for Bronze.

• Event exclusivity — the mount cannot be obtained in any of the current World of Warcraft modes. If it is in your collection, you belong to a limited group of players who completed WoW Remix: Pandaria
• Unique quilen model — guardian quilen are a rare category of ground mounts first introduced back in the original Mists of Pandaria. The bronze battle armor makes this version visually distinct from other variants
• Speed 10 out of 10 — the mount grants a +60% or +100% movement speed bonus depending on your riding skill, meaning it travels at the maximum speed of ground transport
• Account-wide availability — once obtained, the mount is unlocked for every character on your account, regardless of faction and class
• Part of the full quilen collection — together with its companion mount, the Reins of the Marble Quilen, it forms the duology of Remix quilen, which increases its value for collectors

Obtaining the mount required participation in the WoW Remix: Pandaria event, which ran from May 16 to August 20, 2024. If you created a character during that period, the mount could be bought directly for Bronze.

1. Create a character on the special WoW Remix: Pandaria selection screen (during the active event period)
2. Level up your character in the zones of Pandaria by completing scenarios, dungeons, raids and daily quests — all of these activities grant Bronze and Bronze caches
3. Accumulate at least 6,600 Bronze
4. Head to Hemet Nesingwary XVII in any of the Infinite Bazaars of Pandaria — he stands outside with a multi-barreled rifle
5. Buy the Reins of the Guardian Quilen for 6,600 Bronze
6. Use the item — the mount is automatically added to the collection of every character on the account

As of 2026 the event has ended, and the mount is temporarily unobtainable. All players who managed to acquire it before August 20, 2024 kept it in their collection permanently.

Hemet Nesingwary XVII appeared in every major region of Pandaria (except the Krasarang Wilds) — in the so-called Infinite Bazaars, the new hubs of the Remix. Each bazaar had its own zone binding.

Hemet traded in more than just quilen: he also sold cloud serpents, cranes, tigers and other mounts of Pandaria.

WoW Remix: Pandaria is a limited-time event launched by Blizzard on May 16, 2024 and ended on August 20 of the same year. Players created characters on special servers, leveled through the Mists of Pandaria content and collected Bronze — a currency that could be spent at the vendors of the Infinite Bazaars.

• Level progression from 10 to 70, with accelerated experience gain
• Free access to all dungeons and raids of Pandaria
• A unique system of Reserve Gems and Threads — artifact-style progression exclusive to the Remix
• Rewards for Bronze: mounts, pets, toys, transmog, ensembles
• All purchased mounts, pets and toys are added to the account-wide collection and kept after the event ends

During the active event period, Bronze was earned through practically any in-game activity. The most efficient sources are described below.

Heroic-Level Raids

Repeated runs of heroic Pandaria raids gave the greatest amount of Bronze per hour of time.

Infinite Bazaar Daily Quests

Three NPCs at the bazaar handed out daily quests that granted Bronze caches:

• A Fresh Scene — complete one scenario
• Finding a Group — clear 3 bosses in a dungeon
• Finding a Raid Group — kill 2 raid bosses

Each quest rewarded a small Bronze cache worth 200 units. After the cache buff patch, the rewards increased by 25%.

Scenarios and Dungeons

Heroic scenarios and dungeons of Pandaria became a steady source of Bronze for solo players. Scenarios were slightly less profitable, but in exchange they did not require finding a group by roles.

Gear Scrapping

Gear dropping from mobs and bosses was scrapped through a special menu and brought in additional Bronze. At peak farming, many players deliberately collected green items just for scrapping.

Blizzard has not closed the WoW Remix format for good. Already after the end of the Pandaria Remix, Legion Remix was released, which confirmed the cyclical nature of the concept. If the developers decide to repeat the Pandaria iteration, the Reins of the Guardian Quilen will most likely appear in the game once again.
