Guardian Vorquin

Guardian Vorquin is an epic ground mount added to World of Warcraft in the Dragonflight expansion (patch 10.0.0). It is an armored vorquin — a dragon-like four-legged creature with scales, claws and a draconic muzzle that serves as the racial mount of the dracthyr.

The mount is sold by two vendors for 80 gold: Tethalash in Valdrakken and Treysh in The Forbidden Reach. Dracthyr can buy it without restrictions. Members of other races must reach Exalted with the Obsidian Warders (Alliance) or the Dark Talons (Horde) — an option that became available in patch 10.0.7.

• One of eight vorquins — alongside it, the vendors sell seven more mounts from this line, letting you collect the whole set in parallel and knock out reputation achievements along the way
• Part of mount-collecting achievements — it counts toward your overall tally, bringing you closer to the rewards for collection achievements

The main path is grinding reputation with the dracthyr faction in The Forbidden Reach and buying the mount from the quartermaster. Dracthyr simply need to visit the vendor.

1. Playing a dracthyr: head to Treysh in Morqut Village in The Forbidden Reach or to Tethalash in the Obsidian Enclave of Valdrakken. Buy the Guardian Vorquin for 80 gold
2. Playing another Alliance race: raise your reputation with the Obsidian Warders to Exalted, then purchase the mount from Tethalash or Treysh
3. Playing another Horde race: raise your reputation with the Dark Talons to Exalted, then likewise see one of the vendors
4. Check your character level (minimum 10) and the Apprentice Riding skill
5. After purchase, the mount becomes available on all characters of the account through the collection

For characters of non-dracthyr races, the mount is sold only after reaching Exalted with one of the two black dragonflight factions. The ability to purchase it for them appeared in patch 10.0.7 (March 21, 2023).

Dracthyr gain access to these factions automatically over the course of the starting questline and can buy all vorquins without any reputation restrictions.

There are two purchase points for the mount in the game. Both accept the same price — 80 gold — and sell all eight vorquins, so pick whichever is convenient for you.

Tethalash in Valdrakken

Tethalash stands in the Obsidian Enclave — the dracthyr district in the capital of Valdrakken. The coordinates are roughly 26, 34 — behind the enclave's main building.

Treysh on the Forbidden Island

Treysh is a quartermaster originally located in The Forbidden Reach (coordinates 45, 61). After the storyline of returning to the island in patch 10.0.7, she moved to Morqut Village, where she became the full quartermaster for both dracthyr factions.

For players on other races, the path to the mount runs through daily and world quests in The Forbidden Reach.

1. Reach max level and complete the starting questline of The Forbidden Reach (unlocked through quests in Valdrakken in patch 10.0.7)
2. Choose a side to support: Alliance — Obsidian Warders, Horde — Dark Talons
3. Complete local and world quests in The Forbidden Reach daily — each grants reputation with your chosen faction
4. Take part in the Cutting Wind public event — it grants a significant reputation boost once every few hours
5. After reaching Exalted, return to Treysh or Tethalash and purchase the mount

The Guardian Vorquin is one of four epic armored vorquins and one of eight mounts in this line overall. All are sold by Tethalash and Treysh.
