Guiding Stave of Wisdom is a two-handed magic staff for intellect classes: priests, mages, warlocks, druids, shamans, monks and evokers. The staff's model is rendered in dark grey tones with a head styled after Dark Iron clan craftsmanship, which makes it a recognizable emblem of the under-mountain theme. This is the version of the item from the anniversary raid added to World of Warcraft in patch 11.0.5 for the game's twentieth anniversary.

The staff stands out because it echoes the silhouette of a classic reward from an old dungeon, yet receives a modern item binding and suits current sets. For a transmog collector it is a convenient way to fill the two-handed weapon slot with a grim, "gnomish-dwarven" aesthetic without the long grind of a random drop.

The staff is awarded in the anniversary version of the Blackrock Depths raid — a reworked dungeon from the classic era that was turned into a full-fledged raid for World of Warcraft's twentieth anniversary. The final boss of this raid is Emperor Dagran Thaurissan, ruler of the Dark Iron clan.

Rewards here are not given through direct drops but through a token currency. Each defeated boss leaves three Timewarped Relic Coffer Key of the difficulty in which you clear the raid.

• The raid is available in three difficulties: Raid Finder, Normal and Heroic.
• Item level rises with difficulty.
• You cannot buy an item for a single key — you need to accumulate 40 keys per piece.
• Bosses give 3 keys each, mini-bosses one each; a full clear yields about 29 keys per week on each difficulty.
• Over the whole event you can gather a maximum of 120 keys of each difficulty, that is, buy up to three items per difficulty on a single character.

The vendors who buy back items for keys stand in the festival zone in Tanaris, next to the Dark Iron clan's drilling machine, through which a teleport to the raid entrance opens.
