Gurubashi Poker — Transmog Set Guide

Gurubashi Poker is a rare one-handed dagger brought back into the game with the lost secrets of Zul'Gurub update in patch 10.0.7 of the Dragonflight expansion. It is a short blade in the style of the Gurubashi troll tribe: dark curved metal, ritual engraving near the base, and a carved hilt. The silhouette is deliberately small and predatory — the weapon looks like a ceremonial knife rather than a battle sword.

The dagger works as a transmog for every class that can wield daggers: Rogues, Druids, Mages, Warlocks, Priests, Shamans, Demon Hunters, and Evokers. The model is valued for directly evoking the classic style of Zul'Gurub — the trolls' temple city in the southern jungles. If you are assembling a troll-themed or jungle-themed set, this blade fits the look without compromise.

An important detail: the appearance cannot be bought ready-made at the auction house. The dagger itself is crafted by Blacksmithing from an ancient design, and the entire path to it runs through the Zul'Gurub dungeon.

The Gurubashi Poker does not drop from bosses directly — it is a crafted item. To obtain the appearance, you need to complete three steps: get the plans, gather the reagents, and forge the dagger.

The plans. The recipe Ancient Plans: Gurubashi Poker is found in the Zul'Gurub dungeon. It binds on equip, so it can be bought and sold at the auction house if you do not want to farm it personally. The plans have a chance to drop from the dungeon's bosses, as well as from the Gurubashi Tribute container — a special bag of loot.

Gurubashi Tribute. This is the key mechanic of the lost secrets of Zul'Gurub. Offering piles are scattered throughout the dungeon, and you can present Hakkari trinkets — Bijou — to them. Bijou drop from bosses, regular mobs, and can even be obtained by fishing inside the dungeon. Present the required number of Bijou to an Offering Pile and you receive the Gurubashi Tribute, a bag of coins, reagents, and ancient plans.

Blacksmithing. The dagger itself is forged with classic Blacksmithing skill 300. Crafting it requires Classic-era reagents, including an Enchanted Thorium Bar and a Truesilver Bar, along with gems and enchanting oil. Most of these materials drop in Zul'Gurub itself or can be bought at the auction house.

Limits. There are no strict weekly limits on crafting — once the plans are learned and the reagents are gathered, you can forge the dagger as many times as you like. The bottleneck is usually collecting Bijou and farming the ancient plans, not the forging process itself.

The Gurubashi Poker has no color variants in the modern sense of a recolor, but it does have a direct Classic ancestor and a set of related weapons from the same Zul'Gurub line.

Wushoolay's Poker is the closest analog: a classic one-handed dagger from old Zul'Gurub with the same stat layout and a related silhouette. If the Gurubashi Poker's appearance is out of reach for you, this is the one to look for. The Gurubashi Slicer and the Gurubashi Hexxer mace are different weapon types, but they are crafted in a single troll style and look good as a pair if your class can wield a sword or mace in the off-hand.
