Halaani Claymore — Transmog Set Guide

Halaani Claymore is a two-handed sword in the draenei style: an elegant blade with crystalline inlays and the pommel geometry typical of the races of Outland. The model is rendered in a cold blue-steel palette.

This is an item-level 14 sword with a character-level requirement of 26, added to World of Warcraft in The Burning Crusade expansion. Today it is interesting purely as a transmog: its stats have long been irrelevant, but the elegant draenei silhouette is still sought after for themed looks.

The item becomes soulbound on pickup, so you need to acquire it on the very character you want to unlock the appearance for. On the upside, obtaining it is tied to an open-world zone activity rather than a raid or dungeon.

The Halaani Claymore is sold by Aldraan — a blade merchant who appears in the town of Halaa in Nagrand when the Alliance controls the town. The Horde has its own blade merchant with an identical assortment filling the same role.

Halaa is a contested town: control over it changes hands through PvP capture. Halaa Battle Tokens drop from killing players of the opposing faction near the town — a token counts if you or a member of your group landed the killing blow. To gain access to the merchant, your faction must first capture Halaa: to do so you need to kill 15 town guards (most conveniently by bombing them from the captured wyvern roosts around the plateau), and then hold the island.

At the current max level, the old Halaa guards die instantly, so capturing the town and stockpiling tokens solo is not difficult — the main challenge is making sure the opposing faction does not hold the town at that moment.
