Hearthsteed

Hearthsteed is a flying mount added during the Mists of Pandaria expansion as part of a cross-promotion with the card game Hearthstone. It is a stone horse shrouded in a mystical blue glow that unfurls spectral wings while in flight. According to its lore, it was carved from the same rare mineral as the Hearthstone itself and can barely contain the magical power locked within it.

Obtaining the mount counts as the Feat of Strength Hearthstoned in the "Feats of Strength" achievement category.

• Completely free — no subscription or purchase of any kind is required to obtain it
• Flying mount — movement speed scales with the character's riding skill (ground: 60%/100%, flying: up to 310%)
• Available to both factions — the mount is not bound to the Alliance or the Horde
• Unique appearance — a stone steed with a blue glow and spectral wings that stands out among other horses
• Linked achievement — the "Hearthstoned" Feat of Strength will add to your achievement collection
• Sibling mount — there is a fiery version, Fiery Hearthsteed, awarded for the 10th anniversary of Hearthstone

• A Battle.net account with an active World of Warcraft subscription
• Hearthstone installed (free, available on PC and mobile devices via the Battle.net client or app stores)
• Your WoW and Hearthstone accounts must be linked to the same Battle.net account
• A character of any level (the mount arrives by mail, but learning it requires a riding skill)

Step 1 — Install Hearthstone

If you don't already have Hearthstone, download the game through the Battle.net client (the "Hearthstone" section) or install the mobile version from the App Store / Google Play. Make sure you are logged in with the same Battle.net account that your World of Warcraft is linked to.

Step 2 — Complete the Tutorial

On first launch, Hearthstone will prompt you to complete the tutorial campaign. Finish it — this takes about 15–20 minutes and introduces you to the basics of card battles.

Step 3 — Win Three Games

To obtain the mount, you need to win 3 matches in one of the following modes:

• Play — standard ranked or casual matches against other players
• Arena — a draft mode where you build a deck from random cards

Important: wins against the AI (in "Practice" or "Adventure" mode) do not count. You must battle live opponents.

After your third win, you will earn the Mount Up! achievement in Hearthstone.

Step 4 — Claim the Mount in WoW

1. Log in to World of Warcraft on any character
2. Open your mailbox — inside you will find a letter containing the Hearthsteed item
3. Take the item and use it — the mount will be added to your Mount Journal
4. The Hearthstoned achievement will be granted automatically
