Helboar Carving Blade is an uncommon two-handed sword that arrived in World of Warcraft alongside The Burning Crusade expansion. It is a broad blade with a massive cutting edge and a plain wrapped grip, finished in cold steel tones. The model is understated and rough, with no glowing effects or engravings, which makes it a handy piece for grounded, "working" looks for a warrior or death knight.

The item occupies the two-handed weapon slot and has long been irrelevant in terms of stats (item level 80), so today it is taken purely for its appearance in a transmogrification set. Despite its modest origin, the sword's silhouette is large enough and reads well in combat.

The blade is granted as a reward of choice upon completing the quest "Testing the Antidote" in Hellfire Peninsula. It is one of the early tasks of the Cenarion storyline in Outland.

• According to the story, you need to inject the Cenarion antidote into a large helboar and observe the result: the beast flies into a rage and attacks, after which you must finish it off.

Access to Hellfire Peninsula is unrestricted: the zone opens through the Dark Portal in Blasted Lands and is available to all characters with The Burning Crusade expansion. No separate unlock chain is required, and at max level helboars are killed instantly.
