Netherlord's Brimstone Wrathsteed

Hellblazing Reins of the Brimstone Wrathsteed is an item that teaches the flying mount Netherlord's Brimstone Wrathsteed. It's an alternate orange-red color variant of the warlock class mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 7.2.0 of the Legion expansion. According to the lore, it's a subjugated demonic steed with a blazing mane and hooves, harnessed from the worlds of Xoroth — only a warlock who has proven their mastery over demons can ride it.

The reins are sold by the vendor Calydus in the Dreadscar Rift (the warlock order's stronghold) for 1000 Order Resources. Before you can buy this color variant, you must first obtain the base version of the mount — Netherlord's Chaotic Wrathsteed — through the class hall quest chain.

• Warlock exclusive — the mount is available to only one class, making it a symbol of belonging and granting a unique form of travel that other players don't have.
• Alternate color variant — the brimstone version differs from the base chaotic one: its bright orange-red hide and blazing mane stand out against the standard demonic steeds.
• Flying mount — full travel speed in the air and on the ground, suitable for any zone where flying is allowed.
• Available to all warlocks on the account — once purchased by one warlock, the mount appears in the collection of every warlock on your account.
• Part of the three-color class collection — together with the base chaotic and the Netherlord's Accursed Wrathsteed (purple), it completes the full set of class variants.

The mount is purchased rather than dropped, but only warlocks who have completed the Legion class hall quest chain are eligible to buy it.

The achievement Breaching the Tomb is awarded account-wide. If you've already earned a class mount on another character of any class, you don't need to repeat this step. Each new warlock still has to complete the base class hall chain and the first two Armies of Legionfall quests before being sent to Mor'zul for the mount's starting quest.

The path to the Hellblazing Reins of the Brimstone Wrathsteed breaks down into two major stages: first, the base chaotic mount through the class hall scenario, then the purchase from Calydus.

1. Complete the warlock class campaign in the Dreadscar Rift, up to finishing the last stage with the order's third champion
2. Complete the Armies of Legionfall chain on the Broken Shore until you earn the achievement Breaching the Tomb (if you don't already have it)
3. Pick up the quest Champions of Legionfall from Maiev Shadowsong at Deliverance Point on the Broken Shore and turn it in
4. Near Maiev, take the quest A Message from the Blood Herald from Mor'zul Bloodbringer — this is the starting point of the warlock class mount
5. Work through the quest chain, gathering the components for the summoning: 5 Felslate, 3 Chaos Spheres, a Potion of Unrelenting Resolve, an Overloaded Fel Core from a Legion invasion, and 50 units of Owlbeast Blood.
6. Complete the final scenario The Wrathsteed of Xoroth — defeat Arax'ath and enslave the Wrathsteed of Xoroth.
7. Receive Netherlord's Chaotic Wrathsteed as a reward — the first color variant in the collection
8. Return to the Dreadscar Rift, approach Calydus near the artifact altar, and buy the Hellblazing Reins of the Brimstone Wrathsteed for 1000 Order Resources

The warlock class hall is located in a separate demonic dimension. There's no overland route there — only a teleport spell.

• Any warlock above level 10 automatically learns the spell Teleport: Dreadscar Rift after their first visit to the class hall during the Legion starting chain
• If you're only just starting the class mount and opening the class hall for the first time, follow the marker of the introductory Legion quest chain that begins in Dalaran on the Broken Isles
• Inside the class hall, Calydus stands by the artifact altar in the central chamber, near the entrance to the scenario portals

By the time they reach the class mount finale, most warlocks already have 1000 Order Resources, because the currency is handed out generously for story quests. If you're short — here's where to top up.

• Champion missions in the Dreadscar Rift — regularly send followers on missions that reward Order Resources. The mission table is in the main hall
• World quests on the Broken Isles — many of them give 30–80 Order Resources per completion
• Armies of Legionfall campaign quests — while earning Breaching the Tomb you'll collect the needed amount anyway
• Treasure chests in the Broken Isles zones — some of them contain Order Resources
• Daily champion quests in the class hall — after reaching level 45 and activating the campaign

At The War Within max level (80), all Legion content scales down, and mobs die in 1–2 hits. You can gather the missing resources in a couple of hours of free play.
