Get Hellscream's War Staff

Hellscream's War Staff is a two-handed intellect staff from Garrosh's heirloom weapon set, added in Mists of Pandaria (patch 5.4.0). The model echoes the silhouette of Hellscream's orcish polearm: a massive dark head with jagged blades and a wrapped shaft in a crimson-and-steel palette. It is the iconic "military" look of the Horde, instantly recognizable from the era of the Siege of Orgrimmar.

The staff was part of the heirloom weapon set that dropped from Garrosh Hellscream — the final boss of the Siege of Orgrimmar raid.

• Garrosh was guaranteed to hand over an heirloom weapon suited to your specialization if you did not yet own any item from the set.
• The drop triggered on Normal difficulty and above — Raid Finder mode did not award the heirloom weapon.
• The item was account-bound and available to all characters, which made it convenient for leveling through the range from level 90 to 100.
• The weapon was designed as a "bridge" into Warlords of Draenor, so it scaled up in item level along with your hero.

With patch 6.0.3 (October 28, 2014), Garrosh's heirloom weapons were removed from the loot table entirely. The staff is now unobtainable for new players: only those who managed to collect the item before its removal own its appearance and transmog.
